You're mostly right, even though I've never been REALLY into GnR, but (of course )

Don't you think that Dimebag and Cliff Burton (both R.I.P) were remembered for even more than their music (which is godly), I mean the music is probably the biggest part but their character as well, I mean the were both amazing people, but I'm not going to try describe them, I would never be able to do them justice.

But I think you see my point..

Merry Christmas everyone!

Actually it was because our fire marshalls dont allow singers to carry alcoholic drinks onstage. I should know because I was supposed to go to that show.

This is one of the most critical sites of Guns N Roses. Like it or not, they are back. They did one of the biggest tours this year playing over 70 shows. All this false information - Axl did not try and get The Eagles back and they were not forced off stage by bottles being thrown. Why be so negative?

Why is it that this site never states anything positive about Guns N Roses as there are plenty of positive things. I only registered so I could say this. The only thing I use this site for is the tabs but after this continuous slander of Guns N Roses I had to post.

Heres a fact, Lycos says that Guns N Roses is the 5th most searched band last year. Not too good if all its going to result in is stupid critics that don't appear to know anything thats positive. People must be searching to find out news about the band after their very well received concerts throughout the year. Even Rolling Stone have put it in their top 5 albums of next year and they managed to abstain from criticism. You should too.

God Damn I'm so sick of everyone defending Axl he's a bum he is a waste of talent sure he put out a few good records 20 years ago but he ain't shit now the band left him I was reading in Guitar World that there has been 19 people in GNR and recording the record like all the little Axl supporters are like ohh his album is being anticipated so bad and I'm like well **** man he hasn't come out with an album in 15 years Spaghetti Incident doesn't count as an album that was just a half ass attempt he's been working on this album for 10 years it better be the ****in best record of all time I know I and millions of others aren't going to listen or even give it a chance it's not even GNR anymore one person doesn't make the band Axl is just trying to make money off the name I personally am a Velvet Revolver fan and can't wait for there next album because I know it will be a million times better than "Chinese Democracy"
POSTED: 12/26/2006 - 03:00 pm / quote |
Saoirse61671 :
Another false fact, there hasn't been 19 people in Guns N Roses. If you want to be picky about it since guns split in 94, Axl, Robin, Duff, bucket, tommy, josh freese, Richard Fortus, Brain, christ pittman, dizzy reid, bumblefoot and dizzy. Paul huge was a stand in and cant be counted. Frank Ferrer and Christ Pittman are touring members. Neither Ferrer, Bumblefoot, Freese or Duff play anything on the album.

If you say 19 since the beginning then you are trying to criticise that which you praise. Why he kept the name I don't know. But saying Axl Rose is a waste of talent is stupid. And it hasn't been 20 years since the first album even so more ignorance.

POSTED: 12/26/2006 - 03:27 pm / quote |
i_am_metalhead :
Axl has become nothing but a waste of space. And for all you GnR fanboys - Chinese Democracy is never going to come out. He is just using that as a way to keep you all interested in GnR.
POSTED: 12/26/2006 - 04:27 pm / quote |
Rocker1_1 :
At times Axl Rose was the best frontman in the world, but his ego got to big for himself and (the original)Guns n Roses. Slowly the old members left either by choise or he(Axl) fired them. Now most of them (Slash, Duff, and Matt Sorrum) have Sucesfull projects. But now Axl leads around a group of wannabes that will never be as good or as appreciated as the old band.
POSTED: 12/26/2006 - 05:10 pm / quote |
mrlee192 :
half that stuff on axl rose is incorrect.
POSTED: 12/26/2006 - 05:53 pm / quote |
cheshirescream :
Ok, yes, Axl HAS been a prick, but that's no reason to want to ****ing murder him! If anything, let's just sit back, watch some other bands BESIDES gnr and if Chinese Democracy happens to come out, great.

I also agree with whoever said that Chinese Democracy had better be the best ****ing album ever. If Axl started that shit back in 1997, he better have some work done on that ****er.

And for the record, any other band besides GNR that works on an album for 10+ years would have it up to about 8 cd's worth of songs.

Hmm...interesting how everyone keeps on talking about how this album hasn't come out in ten years and nobody mentions Brian Wilson's and the beach boy's album "Smile" Ring a bell anyone? Was supposed to be one of their best ever and never technically got finished until Brian Wilson did it solo a few years ago. So that one was like 20 some years in the making. It's an album, who cares when it comes out. Might as well bash every new band that comes out too since they spent their first 5 years touring until they released their album.

I don't think the new GNR album will be as good as the former ones but i am still lookin' forward to hear it.

I register just to answer some guys here. Do you know why is the new GNR a sucess ? Because 70% of this conversation is about Axl.

Axl is 40 years old, some people say that he's singing bad, well he ain't the same i can see that, but watch Rock am Ring 2006 and you will realise that for his age hi's singing pretty well.

Chinese Democracy will come out and it will kick some serious a****.

And please don't ever compare Velvet Revolver with the new GNR, if you don't like his voice just don't listen to them, Axl won't worry, the gig this year were all sold out.

PS: Don't say that Axl was never a good singer.

POSTED: 01/03/2007 - 12:44 pm / quote |
_HbK_RoSe_ :
Yeah you're right axl is the worst singer of all time i don't even know where all his sucess came from...=P

It's everyone opinion we can't change that but i think it's universal that axl is talented, i'm just talking about music not the rest.

slash is what made GNr, without him i think that band
wouldnt have the GNR Sound or should i say touch?
but then agian, he puts a little too much of that touch into Velvet Revolver?

For me it's like this there's not one without the other. I'm talking about slash and Axl but obviously GNR without Axl it's impossible and without Slash is...fixable.

HAHAHAHA If ANYONE on this board believes that MCR are more talented than ANY line-up of GN'R.... i don't think they deserve to call themselves a musician...and i highly doubt they are one. There have really only been a couple of songs of the past decades that i think are going to become labeled as "classics." The only one i can think of coming close to that status from this year is Gnarls Barkley's Crazy. Was there better music than that this year? sure. But i highly doubt Knights of Cydonia by Muse will get as much exposition as some of the other pop hits that came out this year.

I'm thinking that Libertad and Chinese Democracy will duel out on the charts ON THE SAME DAY. CD will obvioulsy win though because of all the buildup. WHOS WITH ME ON THAT?!

Without him there's no VR.... and Guns & Roses...

that's who he is.....

lol... people need to stop being so negative towards axl and GNR. Just accept that Slash n' friends aren't in the band anymore. Sure, it would be great if Gnr reformed with all of the old members. But its not gonna happen. Just do us all a favor and stop complaining. When Chinese Democracy comes out, then you can decide whether or not you like the new music and the new band. I don't care if it comes out in 2007 or 2070 - no one's asking you to watch and anticipate the album every step of the way.

Also, for people who say that axl is a prikc: Hm, that might be semi-true, but honestly if you look at the "mean" stuff hes done this year, its not that much. The two mean things he did this year are 1. Get in a fight with a security guard and 2. Cancel a show because of a Firemarshell's law. He's done a lot of good things this year, too. Off the top of my head, he performed at two benifit events (parkinson's and something else), visted a children's cancer ward, and played somewhere around 70 shows, many of them sold out. Im not saying axl is a saint, but he isn't the devil either.

Oh, and btw, axl never tried to get EODM back lol. They were TERRIBLE (I was there)

Hope everything I typed makes sense and clearly conveys my point
