Greatest Music Videos of the 1980s - Part 1
This is something I've been wanting to do for a while now, but I didn't have the time.

Now, I present to all those interested...

The Greatest Music Videos Of The 1980s - Part 1

Queen - "Princes of the Universe"

Freddie Mercury battles a sword wielding Highlander character, armed with only a microphone stand. What else can be said?

a-ha - "Take on Me"

This was that video that amazed everyone who saw it, but nobody could remember who the artist was. You're welcome.

Mötley Crüe - "Home Sweet Home"

This was such a highly requested video that MTV had to make a new rule for airplay!

Michael Jackson - "Thriller"

It's "Thriller," I really shouldn't need to say more...

Devo - "Whip It"

And now, on the weird side, possibly the most confusing music video ever.

Def Leppard - "Rock of Ages"

This makes me laugh so hard my sides hurt, so I figured it's worth putting up here.

Twisted Sister - "We're Not Gonna Take It"

The ultimate youth power song has an equally fun music video!

Peter Gabriel - "Sledgehammer"

So freaky it will likely cause strange nightmares.

R.E.M. - "Radio Free Europe"

This was the mainstream world's first trippy look at one of the most enduring and iconic groups of the 1980s.

Poison - "Fallen Angel"

I do not consider myself a big fan of Poison, but let's face it Hair Metal was the '80s, so here's their best video!

I will do a follow up article. Submit suggestions in the comments section below.
