The 2006 Ultimate Guitar Readers Poll: A Bit Of The Old, A Lot Of The New |

Ultimate Guitar readers loved their Chili Peppers.
You exercised your right to vote for the most awe-inspiring album of the year, and we shall not make you wait any longer for the results. With over 10,000 votes submitted to the 2006 Ultimate Guitar Reader’s Poll, a little of everything was represented, from metalcore or emo to progressive rock. There were a few bands, however, that definitely seemed to appeal to the majority – one which has been infatuated with using “California” in its song lyrics, and the other a bit enamored with that old favorite, death.
At the end of the counting, veteran rockers The Red Hot Chili Peppers came out ahead of all the rest with its double-album Stadium Arcadium. Pulling in 611 votes, the Chili Peppers proved yet again that they are not going anywhere. And for all of you who had a fondness for My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade? You fought the good fight, losing by less than 100 votes.
And now for your list of winners…
01. Stadium Arcadium – The Red Hot Chili Peppers (611 votes)
After over 20 years in the music business, the Chili Peppers have proven they have just as much staying power as U2. The band’s 1st double album Stadium Arcadium, which just recently garnered 6 Grammy Award nominations, focuses more on a low-key Peppers’ style (some might use the dreaded adjective “mature”) versus its more over-the-top funkadelic days. While it may not live up to the legendary status of Blood Sugar Sex Magik, the 28-track Stadium Arcadium is still jam-packed with a number of likely hit singles.
02. The Black Parade – My Chemical Romance (517 votes)
While the Chili Peppers might have taken the top spot in the UG poll, The Black Parade was the most intriguing My Chemical Romance release to date. The concept album that vocalist Gerard Way called “ completely over the top, borderline psychotic” leads listeners through a cancer victims’ understanding of life and death. Although the slightly morbid topic adds to the drama, it is the music that made the biggest impression here. And who knows, MCR might just have pulled off what many deemed impossible: proving that it is much more than just an emo band.
03. The Crusade – Trivium (380 votes)
Trivium did a risky thing this year by tackling a fresh, less scream-filled style. Although a different turn for the band, the new sound has not seemed to dissuade the majority of fans from embracing the band’s latest release, The Crusade. It’s hard not to be in awe of the amazing guitar work of Matt Heafy and Corey Beaulieu, which once again played a prominent role on the band’s 3rd record. Some debate has risen about Heafy’s Metallica-sounding vocals (which seems to be fulfilling the band’s desire to be “the next Metallica”), and some fans just couldn’t handle the departure from the usual sing-scream format. Standing at #3 on the UG poll, however, Trivium has obviously maintained a huge portion of its fan base.
04. Decemberunderground – AFI (282 votes)
Like Trivium (although in no way are the two bands musically similar), AFI also received some backlash from its diehard fans with the release of Decemberunderground. AFI had been known for its earlier punk-driven songs, so recording the more pop-friendly songs on Decemberunderground was a risky move. Fortunately, most of AFI’s fans (some of which were lucky enough to be chosen as back-up “ chanters” on “Miss Murder”) found the new synth-experimentation to be yet another brilliant move for the California natives.
05. A Matter Of Life And Death – Iron Maiden (227 votes)
Iron Maiden’s influence has entered so many aspects of today’s metal that it seemed appropriate for the iconic band to have a bit of its own music out in the present music scene. Probably the biggest indicator of the band’s influence was shown during the opening week that A Matter Of Life And Death was released: It became the 1st album to become a top-10 Billboard chart hit for the British icons. With each song averaging over 7 minutes long, the record features classic work from vocalist Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Steve Harris. While it’s not quite as classic as Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, A Matter Of Life And Death definitely still deserves its rightful place in the UG Top 10.
06. Sacrament – Lamb of God (193 votes)
Recently named “Album of the Year” by Revolver Magazine, Sacrament impressed plenty in 2006, particularly when it came to the guitar work from Mark Morton and Willie Adler. Sacrament represents the band at its best, and you should definitely pick up the deluxe edition with DVD if you haven’t already. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the songwriting process between Morton and Adler, who each have distinct styles that they add to LOG. When you throw in the trademark roar and grim lyrics by vocalist Randy Blythe, the songs on Sacrament are not easily forgotten.
07. 10,000 Days – Tool (184 votes)
Tool has always been known for its intricate and complex musical compositions, and 10,000 Days satisfied this expectation in full. The latest record opened to mixed reviews, primarily from critics, but it still features a variety of classic Tool sounds – from drummer Danny Carey’s ornate percussion to vocalist Maynard James Keenan’s emotionally-charged vocals. “The Pot” and “Jambi” are up there with the likes of “Sober,” and the musicianship has never been better. The angrier days of Tool are passing rapidly, opening up the way for a more reflective (“Wings For Marie”) and often ritualistic (“Lipan Conjuring”) sound. 10,000 Days might be a bit too extreme for the casual rock listener, but many diehard Tool fans have called it yet another masterpiece.
08. Black Holes And Revelations – Muse (145 votes)
The band that has a seamless way of intertwining indie rock, electronica, and classical music makes its mark at #8 on the UG poll. While the band has been critics’ darling for a while now, Black Holes And Revelations found a place with fans alike this time around. With vocalist Matthew Bellamy sounding like Radiohead’s Thom Yorke at times, his extensive vocal range enables Muse’s songs to have a bit more depth than plenty of other new releases. The result is a synth-fused rock extravaganza with undeniably catchy melodies.
09. Light Grenades – Incubus (135 votes)
If it wasn’t common knowledge before, Incubus’ popularity was confirmed in November when Light Grenades debuted at the top of the Billboard charts. Granted, the total albums sold was still quite a bit less than the 2001 release Morning View, but it still has plenty of tracks that could cause the same stir as “ Wish You Were Here.” Brandon Boyd’s vocal work has never been stronger and could easily be called one of the best rock singers in the business today.
10. City Of Evil – Avenged Sevenfold (129 votes)
Avenged Sevenfold has a whole slew of new fans now that “The Beast And The Harlot” has been immortalized in Guitar Hero II. Of course, legions of AS fans knew that the band was always destined to overtake the masses. City Of Evil takes a step toward classic hard rock/metal with an abundance of harmonic guitar solos that would make Iron Maiden and Judas Priest proud. Even Guitar World Magazine ranked City Of Evil as the 63rd greatest guitar album of all time. Yes, you should buy this album now.
Honorable Mentions
Before you start throwing your computer monitor out the window because your favorite 2006 release didn’t make the cut, there are a few more records that came very close to joining the Top 10. These records are indeed honorable mentions, most specifically Wolfmother, which lost out on tying for 10th place by one vote. Ouch.
The Honorable Mentions:
Wolfmother – Wolfmother (128 votes) Blood Mountain – Mastodon (116 votes) Christ Illusion – Slayer (102 votes) As Daylight Dies – Killswitch Engage (96 votes) Revelations – Audioslave (82 votes) Pearl Jam – Pearl Jam (80 votes) The Great Burrito Extortion Case – Bowling For Soup (79 votes) The Sufferer And The Witness – Rise Against (77 votes) The Poison – Bullet For My Valentine (75 votes) Inhuman Rampage – Dragonforce (73 votes)

: I didn't expect trivium to be on last list, let alone in the third position. At first I liked the the crusade a lot, but now it seems that only three or fours songs are keeping it from being left in the back of my cd booklet. My chemical romance should not be in the second spot, and I don't feel like getting into why. Although it's not their best work, I'm happy to see afi on the list. They've been in the business for like what, over fifteen years, and seem to be getting bigger with each album. POSTED: 12/23/2006 - 07:51 am / quote |

: if its based on musical quality and melodic and intelligent guitar work, then i think the top 8 should have been:
1) Black holes and revelations - muse
2) as daylight dies - Killswitch engage
3) The Crusade - Trivium
4) The black parade - My chemical romance
5) City of evil - Avenged sevenfold
6) a matter of life and death - iron maiden
7) inhuman rampage - Dragonforce
8) the poison - bullet for my valentine
but if it was based on talent in the lead guitar, then:
1) Inhuman Rampage
2) The posion (call these guys emo all you want, the lead guitarist is amazing)
3) a matter of life and death
but if it was based on sheer style, coolness, innovativeness, catchiness, etc, then:
1) The Black parade
2) Light Grenades
3) Black Holes and Revelations
and has anyone else spotted that SLAYER got the THIRTEENTH spot? SLAYER! 13! ITS A SIGN!POSTED: 12/23/2006 - 09:57 am / quote |

Well, I've heard "Welcome to the Black Parade" and another song that I don't know the name of. Sure, the first part of "WttBP" is really catchy but I'm not impressed at all with the rest of the song, he just sounds so fake.

This list sucked, I dont know a single person that liked Stadium Arcadium, so i dont have a single clue where those votes came from. MCR and AFI... need I say anymore. Plus everything I could say about them has been said. The rest I could deal with, but just those...
And wheres Saturday Night Wrist, Internal Revolution, Rebirth Of The Temple(My Album of The Year. A must hear for any metal fan), Come What(Ever) May, and Phobia? Those are all much better than most of the crap on this list, top 10 or not. POSTED: 12/23/2006 - 03:39 pm / quote |

: I'm glad to see RHCP at #1 almost every song on that album could be a single with a exception of about 3 or 4. But that's not bad for a 28 track double album.
MCR doesn't even deserve to be on the top 10 much less #2. I'm glad to see Incubus, trivium, tool, and Iron maiden making the top 10 aswell. I haven't heard much from muse but i need to check them out. Bullet and Avenged Sevenfold in the 2006 list. No offence, but they are on last years list. Which may signify that they are 2005 CDS not 2006, dumbass. RHCP and Iron Maiden deserve to be in this list just lower down. Lamb of God should be higher up and Muse and Trivium should not be on at all. I mean, Trivium are amazing, Ascendancy was nearly perfect to me, but they have become shit the way they have interpreted Metallica's sound. And Muse are just shit. I think out of the bands that came below ten, Slayer, KSE, Wolfmother, Mastodon and DragonForce should have been in the top ten. But thats just me. Anyways rock on

: in my opinion, Sacrament should've been higher than The Crusade. As much as I used to dislike Trivium, this album actually won me over. When I heard it it basically blew me away because it was so much different than their other albums (well the guitars and vocals) Hm, City of Evil is kinda overated. Muse should've been up higher, and the Chili Peppers a little lower. Even though I do love them, it seems like the usual stuff from them. Iron Maiden is right where they are. And Blood Mountain should've been SOMEWHERE on the list. Replacing MCR. They were weak, and in my opinion only got weaker. POSTED: 12/23/2006 - 04:47 pm / quote |

: AFI sold out..any punk band that has electronic parts in it's songs can't call themselves punk. What's even more amusing is that all these wannabe kids think they're punk because they LISTEN to afi LOL.
Good year for Wolfmother (despite slight unoriginality, and a bad performance at the MTV VMA's), Trivium (again, slightly unoriginal but shaping up nicely), consistent effort from BFMV & A7X. Nice new stuff from Maiden too Not keen on Tool, Muse, or Incubus's latest yet (though I haven't listened to it much).
Didn't mind a couple songs on Pearl Jam's latest, theyr'e still great live though which more than makes up for it.
Christ Illusion was fairly decent, Slayer's best in a good few years at the least, and Dragonforce continued their array of amusing public drunkenness
Not a fan of MCR either, but I THINK (note, I COULD be wrong!), I heard about a 3 second solo when checking out Welcome To The Black Parade (could this be hope?).
Looking out for new stuff from Velvet Revolver next year, aswell as Metallica, MAYBE Dragonforce, BFMV & A7X.

They've got originality and still write kickass songs, though they're past the days of S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and Make Yourself. Brandon is by far one of the best vocalists in all of the rock genre. The good albums on that list - Muse, Wolfmother, Mastadon. Alreet - Trivium's, RHCP, Slayer.
Maiden and Pearl Jam's albums weren't that good, but the bands are.
And the Bad - MCR, I think it's way overrated. Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet For my Valentine are kinda poor too.

Well, in my opnion "stadium arcadium" sounds really different from "by the way", wich sounds very, very different from "californication", wich soungs MUCH different and better than "one hot minute", that sounds a lot different than "blood sugar sex magic", album that sounds a lot different from "mother's milk".

stadium arcadium lacks variety: they simply didn't have enough diversity there for a double album, if they'd combined the best aspects of a couple songs and made it more condensed it would be a true work of art. MCR's gotten a lot better, but they're still not my style (at all) and they won't be until they stop the dress-up. Muse was solid. The chili peppers are a really good and inventive band, some of there songs are epically melow, but i have to disagreem about there being no melody in modern metal. Killswitch Engage employ melodic elements in there songs, almost predicatbly often and Mastodons blood mountain, one of this years heaviest albums, contains songs such as Sleeping Giant or Siberian Divide, based around heavy metal melodies and better than your average metalcore bollocks by a milePOSTED: 12/26/2006 - 06:20 pm / quote |

stadium arcadium lacks variety: they simply didn't have enough diversity there for a double album, if they'd combined the best aspects of a couple songs and made it more condensed it would be a true work of art. MCR's gotten a lot better, but they're still not my style (at all) and they won't be until they stop the dress-up. Muse was solid. Wolfmother is a lot of fun to listen to, I'm disappointed that people don't seem to agree. |
Dress-up? It's about music, not about what they look like.. *sigh*

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium
Killswitch Engage - As Daylight Dies
Pearl Jam - Pearl Jam
Trivium - The Crusade
Incubus - Light Grenades
i think the trivium cd could have been much better if the singer kept his screaming voice like in ascendancy |

6) Pearl Jam - Pearl Jam
7) Tool - 10,000 Days

They are the bast EVER. My Chemical Romance's guitarists are sooooo awsome. Ray Toro plays cleanly and does alot of solos and Frankie Iero has the distortion cranked all the way up. If you hate then then I'll just have to call up the lead singer, Gerard Way and have him suck your blood. It really makes me depressed and angry with all this bull shit being said about MCR. : I'm a metal head through and through. Maiden and dragonforce are badass. I thoroughly enjoy The Muse as well. But I have to give credit where credit is due. Gerard Way has one hell of a way with vocal melodies. everything that comes out of that guy's mouth is a hook, it's ridiculous, and MCR has kind of grown on me simply because of the insanely catchy melodies that he constantly sings. Screw Ax7 though...Singer sounds like a bag of asses, the guitar tone is similar to a nintendo (dragonforce's music sounds like nintendo music sometimes...but the tone doesn't, so it's fine...nintendo composers are generally badass) and they just overall seem like a novelty to me. I would have liked to seen Underoath, Hinder, Stone Sour, or Taking Back Sunday somewhere. MCR i love to, and theyre latest album, is not emo, its not like i even hate emos or anything, i do like emo music, but the black parade is not emo.
My top ten of the year would be
1. The black parade- MCR
2.Dying is your latest fashion- Escape the Fate
3.Music For the recently deceased- I killed the prom queen
4.Heroine- From First to last
5.Decemberunderground-AFI
6.Stadium Arcadium-RHCP
7.The Poison- Bullet for my valentine
8.Whatever people say i am thats what im not

: the list wasnt too bad, some deserved it, some not soo much, dont get me wrong i like alot of the bands up there but the list had issues, no one looked for overall band progress, how they evolved since the last album. Love bfmv good to see them mentioned, for what is pretty much their first album it was damn good. the list had its ups and downs.
01. Stadium Arcadium – The Red Hot Chili Peppers (611 votes) - great album by them, imo not a first place spot tho. For me nothing seems to change from this band.
02. The Black Parade – My Chemical Romance (517 votes)
- Lots of inprovment for MCR the vocal range and guitar riffs very much improved. Not a second place spot tho.
03. The Crusade – Trivium (380 votes) - Great band, great CD, well deserved spot, kudos.
04. Decemberunderground – AFI (282 votes)- IMO shouldnt be on this list. New CD was nothing great imo, and i do like them, few good songs, should only be an honorable mention.
05. A Matter Of Life And Death – Iron Maiden (227
votes)- Great metal band, gratz to them for #5, well deserved.
06. Sacrament – Lamb of God (193 votes)- Good to see them on this list, they are a rising metal band and a well deserved spot. congrats
07. 10,000 Days – Tool (184 votes)- Once again a great band, moved along in music writing, loved their stuff, good to see them on the list.
08. Black Holes And Revelations – Muse (145 votes)- TBH. Never listened to a single song lol. D/lin now, maybe might buy an album. we shall see.
9. Light Grenades – Incubus (135 votes)- Never liked incubus, do nothing for me nor the music industry, sorry to fans :S
10. City Of Evil – Avenged Sevenfold (129 votes)- New album was good, nothing amazing tho. Gratz to them aswell
People that should've been on the list and/or deserved honorable mention
- Bullet For My Valentine (Great CD, awesome licks)
- Underoath(Define The Great Line)- Great CD some cool shit on that, nice riffs good lyrics, amazing vocal range
- In Flames - Holy shit, coolist riffs and rythms. ive ever seen, great music, keep up the work.

The Iron Maiden album i thought was a let down because it all sounded the same excluding Different World which is ace. The Crusade i think is in well deserving of no.3. That My Chemical Romance Album isnt that good, to be onhest its crap its overrated s**t, same with that muse albums its pop rock or even just pop. stadium Arcadium is pretty good, it has a lot of good songs on and is probs deserving of a place in the top 5, maybe not no. 1
Well this is my top 10:
1. Come What(ever) May - Stone Sour
2.The Crusade - Trivium
3.Kiss of Death - Motörhead
4.Stadium Arcadium - Red Hot Chili Peppers
5.Revelations – Audioslave
6.The Poison – Bullet For My Valentine
7.City Of Evil – Avenged Sevenfold
8.Papa Roach - The Paramour Sessions
9.Wolfmother – Wolfmother
10. A Matter Of Life And Death – Iron Maiden
I didnt like the Iron Maiden album all that much but i was stuck for albums, and it isnt extremely bad.
I think this year has been a little bit of a let album wise, i mean there has been good albums coming but not lots like in 2004 where we had Vol. 3 The subliminal Verses by Slipknot, American Idiot by Green Day and Contraband by Velvet Revolver.
So i'm hoping that next year is better.

This guy has taste i mean, i have put it in 3rd of my list(which is a bit further up the page), but it was a tough call i mean the Trivium album and Stone Sour album are ace, and like most people i agree Mcr are crap pop rock but waht we have to remember is that people voted for it to be up there, i dont think it should be but folk did vote for itPOSTED: 01/02/2007 - 02:30 pm / quote |

: Like many mentioned... I don't get why My Chemical Rotten is number 2 here, it should have never been in the top 10 to start with.
Well I hope this is not UG's personal list.POSTED: 01/02/2007 - 04:46 pm / quote |

: wow that was actually a good top ten. No nirvana albums...it seems as though every top ten album list has two Nirvana albums. Its really pathetic.
RavenYun :
What bullshit. No Eric Clapton (Road to Escondido)? Pearl Jam and Wolfmother on honorable mentions? I've taken diarrhea-induced shits that sounded better than Lamb of God, AFI, and My Chemical Romance. My ***** being able to do more than scream like a retard is a bonus, too.
ha ha ha ha....THAT WAS AWESOME! Great job!POSTED: 01/02/2007 - 05:18 pm / quote |
MOOSE ATTACK!!!
: Unearth and All That Remains should be on there. LOG, Tool, and Mastodon should be higher. POSTED: 01/02/2007 - 07:39 pm / quote |

: I'm sorry, but I listened to a song from the new My Chem album ('Mama' or somemthing?), and I was impressed at the first part because it was all catchy and cabaret. Then, they break out in full My Chem shitty emo and ruined the song. Skilled maybe, and innovative to a point, but goddamn boys; I gave you a real chance and you blew it! : Hmmm some good albums on that list sum not so good.
Trivium definetely deserve to be up there. I used to hate that band but now I really like them! Iron Maiden deserve to be up there, as do Muse. Lamb of God and Mastodon should have been higher.
And wtf is this about Stever harris as guitarist? And City of Evil was realeased in 2005 if im right so I dont get y its on there, all though I really love that album.POSTED: 01/03/2007 - 06:46 am / quote |
RHCP603
: I'm glad the Chili Peppers ended up on top, trivium deserves to be on the list too. AX7, they're not bad, but...ehhh. I figured it would've beat decemberunderground. Incubus, Tool, and Lamb of God are also really good bands, but Matt Heafy and Corey...i can't even spell it are great guitarists. So is john frusciante.POSTED: 01/03/2007 - 08:11 am / quote |

: why does it matter if a band is emo or not?
anyway. brand new should be on there, even if they only get a honorable mention. the new album is great POSTED: 01/03/2007 - 09:50 am / quote |

I really didn't expect to see My Chemical Romance up there... but that's kinda cool... I like them a lot, but for them to score higher than Iron Maiden? Wow... but good for them... I'm a proud soldier in the MCRmy!
oh, and [I Buy Peace], your comment on barrels of monkeys left me rolling on the floor laughing! =) nice one!POSTED: 01/03/2007 - 03:26 pm / quote |

: I, Like many others despise MCR for their musical style and wannabe-ish attitude. Of course this is my simple opinion.
I don't understand what is so good about Avenged Sevenfold and Trivium as well. I would say A.F.I are bad too, because they have went down the Hellish emo path as well. They USED to be good, such as "The Days Of The Pheniox" (Someone correct me i can never spell Pheniox Correctly.) and others, but now they are pretty much terrible.
I was going to ask Why Guttermouth weren't up there, being one of the greatest Punk bands alive today, but i thought not many people have heard of them, so i advise you to give them a chance.
Overall... i'm pretty disappointed with this list, Just not my type of crap i suppose. =]POSTED: 01/03/2007 - 04:52 pm / quote |

: There are so many more deserving non commercial albums than some sale outs that are listed. SCREW AFI and MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE. WOLFMOTHER should definatly be in the top 5 and where the **** is BLACK MOUNTAIN and DEVENDRA BANHART. People reaqlly need to stop listening to the commercialized world and take the road less traveled. They will truly find some great musicians if they did. POSTED: 01/03/2007 - 06:35 pm / quote |

emo kids need to GTFO.
theres nothing special about emo bands music.
and no i dont refer to BFMV as emo, theyre amazing and have talented artist.
we need more bands with those Talented artist, great vocals, pointful lyrics, and love of music, not popularity.
just my 2 cents.POSTED: 01/04/2007 - 06:01 pm / quote |

: This list is ok.. I personally think the red hot chillis are not really doing much on their sound.. Most songs you can easily hum another red hot chillis over.. Its a good album, but their not really changing at all or developing their sound... Other bands stay the same and get criticised but they dont somehow.. I think muse and dragonforce should be higher up and saturday night wrist and the eraser should defiantely be on there.. POSTED: 01/06/2007 - 04:37 am / quote |

I would've voted Tool, but the new stuff sounds too much like the old stuff. (Which is still better than most music out there.) So they get the #2 spot.
RHCP put out a good album, but I find myself only listening to 8 or 9 songs on each CD. They're #3 in my opinion.POSTED: 01/08/2007 - 05:30 am / quote |

: I like RHCP's old stuff, the only reason they have a couple of good songs on their album is cause your bound to if you make 28 songs in an album. What's with everyone liking MCR? I liked to the end, helena, thank you for the venom, i'm not okay ( i promise ) and all their old stuff better than their new album, the only reason they're popular is cause they're emo... Which is awkward. Lamb Of God, Pearl Jam, Avenged Sevenfold and Killswitch Engage should've got more votes. Shame on you people POSTED: 01/08/2007 - 06:40 am / quote |

: I like having the last post on these things, i have on the last few, i'm posting this in 2007. Anyway The thing to remember about this list is that The people of UG voted for it, so if your that annoyed about MCR getting #2 then why not vote for something better. I personally think this list is a quite crap, Trivium deserve to be up there, Red Hot Chili Peppers do but not that high, Avenged Sevenfold do but thats about it, the rest really dont deserve it.
Here is what i think list:-
01. Stadium Arcadium – Red Hot Chili Peppers (611 votes) - A good album, alot of the songs are good, not top spot though.
02. The Black Parade – My Chemical Romance (517 votes) - Not as good as old MCR, I had a phase of liking most of this album, but its grows old fast. I wouldnt put in this list at all.
03. The Crusade – Trivium (380 votes) - A good album, im a big fan of Trivium, I love the old stuff but i love this aswell. Its alot more anthemic than the older albums.
04. Decemberunderground – AFI (282 votes) - Rubbish, AFI are terrible, this should be deleted from music history.
05. A Matter Of Life And Death – Iron Maiden (227
votes) - I get what people see in this album, i think its only cos it says Iron Maiden on it that it sells, alot of new Maiden is very bland, the single for this album is good though.
06. Sacrament – Lamb of God (193 votes) - I dont like them extremely but they are pretty good, i like their riffs alot.
07. 10,000 Days – Tool (184 votes) - Not heard them so i cant comment.
08. Black Holes And Revelations – Muse (145 votes) - I dont like Muse their too poppy, shouldnt be here
09. Light Grenades – Incubus (135 votes) - Dont like these either, should be here
10. City Of Evil – Avenged Sevenfold (129 votes) - A good album, maybe should have been higher.
If i could choose the list it would be this :-
01.The Poison - Bullet For My Valentine
02.Come What(ever) May - Stone Sour
03.Kiss of Death - Motörhead
04.The Crusade - Trivium
05.City of Evil - Avenged Sevenfold
06.Christ Illusion – Slayer
07.Lostprophets - Liberation Transmission
08.Revelations – Audioslave
09.Stadium Arcadium – Red Hot Chili Peppers
10.Wolfmother – Wolfmother
2006 year was a ok year for albums, i think this year will be better (2007).
Those of you who have read this list will notice i put a different list in a different post, times change.
Anyway cyaPOSTED: 04/28/2007 - 01:36 pm / quote |
