The Ataris' headlining show in Asbury Lanes may not be singer/guitarist Kristopher Roe's finest moment, but it's surely one he'll be facing in the days to come. Sunday's show saw him ending fan-favorite track "Your Boyfriend Sucks" with a quite a bang when he slammed his guitar into drummer Rob Felicetti's kit.
After kicking and tossing various pieces around the stage, Roe reclaimed the mic and announced that "our drummer is f--king bailing it tonight, I don't know what his f--king problem is but I'm gonna finish the set by myself. I'll play a few songs, whatever you want to hear, but I can't f--king do this."What remained of the band then left the stage and Roe played a few solo tracks for the crowd.Unfortunately, the entire incident was recorded, and has since garnered backlash from fans. Rumors indicate that Roe will be finishing the tour on his own, with no official word on the incident to be found following the dismantling of the band's Facebook page.So readers, was this a bad day that got blown out of proportion, or is this really the end for this incarnation of The Ataris? Watch video of the incident below and leave your opinion in the comments.
A good example of a bad ear. That whole band sucks, not just the boyfriend... Everyone was "bailing it" in that recording. Everyone was having timing issues and their playing pretty much sucked. The drummer just happened to catch the brunt of his tantrum.
I think this was a really unprofessional spout of divaness. If the drummer was really that poor then you'dfire him after the show, not during. Not to mention there was no need to throw equipment at him, which could have caused the bloke some nasty injuries.
