Hmm
I don't feel this guide has really taught me anything, and i've been teaching myself for a year and a half. I think the golden rule, is theory, and PRACTICE

The major points established in these articles are both the theoretical and practical applications.

I would accept your mis-spelling as the usual difference in language if you were American, but you're English. Practise is the verb, practice is the noun. Correct your own spelling before you correct somebody else's.

And finally, these articles are aimed at people in their first year of learning. Still, I apologise that you weren't able to learn anything. I have tried my hardest. Maybe you're just good at teaching yourself?

Unfortunately for your correction, he used the correct form of practice. Had he said "is to use theory and to practice" it would have been incorrect. He used both as a noun, however that makes the first part of his sentence incorrect.
So I suppose that either way the sentence is incorrect, but it is the first half- or alternately, the "is theory" portion- that needs to be changed.

But I loved the articles.

Indeed. However, I would saying that, if he was American, I would have accepted it as a spelling error. Since he is not, he simply needs to learn before attempting to correct. :P

Practise is a word? Lame..... My friend tries too hard when we jam to speed up my playing. He practices speed only. His bends, vibratos are weak and uneven, only knows power chords, dosent even know what a key is, no scales.... No theory, nothing! Yet when i try to teach him stuff he refuses to listen. So much for a band mate, lol. When my speed is up to par i'll be freakin miles ahead. (yet another case of the tortoise pwning the hare). If i aints bez speling write; futch ya, me no cares. But really.... Practise? It looks so weird....

Mmmm been playing 3 and a halve years....and only had a few jam sessions
The problem is i am the only one with lessons so I have to teach them guitar, but they have ``talent`` and they are ``fast learners`` so how can you teach anyone that if they struggle they just fall back on ``but I have talent, and i can pick one string 3billion times, who gives a shit about scales?``
Also when we play we all do our own thing and then retreat to our own rooms, lol, it sucks.

Can someone give me a little tip on how to jam in the same key? PLEASE? (like A scales,or the relevant minor, over A cord, or scales in A`s key tones)sorry me confusing you?

Colohue :
To play in the key of A, make sure people only play the following notes:

A, B, C#, D, E, F#, G#, A.

Simple.

Ibbod0 :
practice with a metronome or drum track is very important

when i first started to jam with other people, I could not play in time with the drummer because I was so used to keeping my own tempo.

That can be difficult if they don't know which frets produce which notes! :P

Pretty good stuff here, could have used more meat though. 9/10

I personally find it very difficult to play along in a group because I'm so easily distracted by the drums hahahahahaha... I do lots of practice with drum tracks but it's watching their arms move that throws me off... I'm gonna miss these columns. Best of luck, Tom.

How about playing in a band with 1 guitar? That's waaaaay harder than having another guy cover the rest of the sound with you.
