I was looking at reviews for Satch's Surfing With the Alien CD, and read this review. I seriously loled out loud.

I don't know if I hate it, but as far as I can tell, I don't like it as much as regular playing. But I'm only getting that from Rudess. Love the normal stuff, but not really a fan of the synths. Although in certain situations they do fit the setting. :)

Well, I agree, I don't like Rhythm Of Time much for that reason, but you can't say stuff like Rhodes and vibraphone patches etc doesn't rule... Which is synth too, really.

This is also probably Steely Dan's most experimental studio effort, reaching a peak in their fusion of rock and jazz melted over with pop sensibilities... no this is not an incredibly progressive or shred or even a jazz fusion record per se, but everybody - this is one album worth checking out... watch out for Larry Carlton & Wayne Shorter on this record, they smoke everything into oblivion!
