It's pretty interesting as to how many people enjoy declaring their hate for various bands on forums.. Haha, and Children of Bodom is definately not an exception :D

As for me, Children of Bodom ranks as one of my top fave. bands. Alexi is a legend in the making (hehe, or so I read in the Guitar World Mag.)

However, hearing them live when they came to San Antonio was not something that I really enjoyed doing. They sounded way different, I mean, I suppose it's kinda difficult having to sound AS awesome as they do on the albums, like live and stuff.. But duuuude, they can do a better job.

Regardless of, the have their own distinct sound, and the genius keyboard for once doesn't downplay much of the guitar's swiftness.

The setting is a Cannibal Corpse concert. Corpsegrinder is in the middle of gargling out something about knives, and the Chinese dude walks up to him and taps him on the shoulder, so all the music stops. Then Fischer looks at the guy and the guy says "Why you so stupid?! You not want death metal! You want.. HOT POCKEEEET!!!!"

I love the tone on AYDY? and the vocals are cool also. I like the vox, because you can understand it, it's a really good mix, like just singing with aggression and not RRarRwrRwrraawWww!! I like RRarRwrRwrraawWww, but I also like Alexi's vocals.

I wish he would do some like off of the older stuff too...those vocals are stupid awesome as well.

I'm still hoping that this new one is going to be a blend. I think that would bring out the best in Bodom, music and vocals mixed of old and new. Shows evolution, but also staying true to the sound that got you there.

Take this conversation to the thoery forum but back to bodom. Im newer fan of them and i like everyting ive heard but alot poeple at my school dont like their newer stuff. Anyone here got the same opinion?

oh, my bad, didnt know there was one...... actually their latest album was the one that got me into bodom... but they're early albums are much better in my opinion, I still love 'hate crew deathroll' and 'aydy' though! :peace:
