Yeah I fully expect it to be solid, at the very least. I'm not a huge fan of CoB, but I have all of their albums and they're growing on me. One thing I can say about them is that they are consistently decent.

I don't mind change, and I don't expect bands to stay the same. I like things to shake up...but it just seems that. besides the chorus, tie my rope isn't that great of a song :(

Oh well...I'll still buy the CD, I'll still probably like it, and even if I don't...it will grow on me...because I'll force it too...make my ears listen over and over until I've brain washed myself into thinking it's the best Bodom hands down.

The only thing that could have made that album better was if the keyboards were a little higher in the mix. That is my one and only complaint about FTR.

you can export drums/bass/key from guitarpro to midi track and mix it with your recording. i did it with my burning angel cover. my tone suck major balls cause i was and still using guitar rig 2 to record. back to bodom, talk dirty to me is a kick ass cover by them. :peace:

Alexander left after Hate Crew Deathroll was released. But I agree, I don't like Roope that much. I didn't like his improv in Chaos Ridden Years. If you watch it without sound, he's pretty good. He's very good technically. It's just his melodic ideas were...Bland. I think they should change the name from "Tie my Rope" to "Tie my Roope" XD. J/k.

I think Roope is probably more laid back and it seems as though his ideas might be more heavy metal. Reason why the AYDY is kind of more about aggression than tehnicallity.

Children of Bodom are so amazing. Alexi and Jeff Loomis are definatly the best modern metal guitarists. I know a few songs from both, and alot of the time it takes me months to have their solos down pat. Considering that I learned Eruption in a week, that tells me something. My only beef with COB is that they tend to have somewhat mellow guitar tones. I know alot of people will disagree, but I find that Alexi could have chose a more ballsy set of gear. Apparently he is going to be using active pickups now, I think that will be very interesting to see how well that goes with his lead tone.

Yes. In fact, Jens sent them to him personally. Although he did modify them a bit in order to make them more his own, but mostly stuck to the way Jens had them programmed, I think.

By the way, in similarly Janne related news: I can almost perfectly recreate his sound in the "Downfall" intro on my digital piano with the Electric Piano 1 and Harpsichord 1 settings blended, and with the tone slider a little above the midrange :D (It's a Yamaha Clavinova, I think). No pitch wheel though :sad:
