Who cares if he's in the blues subforum?? Is it really that big of a deal that it's here and not somewhere else? It's not like it's taking up space that isn't available...

Yeah, seriously.
As for Crate amps, I don't know anything about that amp in particular but the Crate Palomino amps are pretty nice. Billy Gibbons even uses them. Don't hate just because of the brand name.

Meh, I've owned a Crate amp and didn't like it at all... It was ok for when I didn't know anything about guitars and tones, but now I look back on it and laugh. It was pretty much a joke.
That was a solid state, and I've never played an all tube Crate though. If you like it then why not...?

My post about ocellot and the John Mayer forum was mostly jokingly. And it is as simple as staying out of that thread, I suppose, but it's hard to resist posting to try to help someone who sees John Mayer as a blues god. I don't want others to suffer from that delusion. :p:

Like you guys have your JM topic, we have our little anti-JM rants just to keep ourselves amused, and it's always nice to joke in company of people with different attitudes toward something :)
So, if anyone feels offended, sorry. It's really just fun :)

On JM fanboys: It has got to a point, Kris, where it is stupid. They needed educating. JM isn't the greatest blues guitarist of all time, nor is he the best song writer. It is all opinionated. They have their opinions, we have ours.
The JM thread is stupid, it has got to a stage where it is just mindless arguing.
They are going on about how he is an incredible blues player etc etc. The saviour of guitar music etc etc. He isn't, get over it.

We seem to end up playing ballad-ish/poppy kinda music no matter how hard we try.
The bassist is my best friend but a he sucks, and the other guitarist is another of my best friends and is pretty damn awesome the problem is We can't find a drummer that's really committed; so it's all a bit annoying right now.
I bring a much heavier dirtier and improvised element to it, because despite all they say they have to have very specific kinda parts where I'm more happy to jam and just feel my way through the song. Blues influence I guess?

Well, the bassists have been the problem for us. We might have found one now (For the bluesband atleast), that'll hopefully stick around for ages.

Well, considering we have a drummer who loves John Bonham and metal for both bands, pop ballads aren't really an option ;)

He was dancing around in the back when we were playing Sunshine of Your Love and such, it was fantastic :haha After that he went up and played some tracks with just him and a Slide guitar.

You win
Sorry, but you are wrong on all three accounts. Period.
The welfare system is actually governed mostly on a state by state basis. I live in California, which is by far the most socialistic state in the union. We have what amounts to free health care over here, by the way. I know because I was on it.
My brother in law works for the Welfare office, so I don't know how you can say it's non-existant.
What makes you're justice system any better? Do your inmates get free cable, 8 hours of rec time, etc, etc?
As far as Capital Punishment, there have been 3 executions in the past 20 years, despite there being more than 1000 death row inmates in the system. Appeals of appeals can keep inmates alive indefinitely.
I specifically reference Post Secondary education. And those who believe in creationism are not taught so in church, as it's not part of any education system's curriculum, at least in California.
By the way, the Los Angeles Metropolitan area has more people than your whole country, fwiw. Smaller populations are easier to regulate.
Facts.

^ Preach brother, preach.
But seriously, youre throwing accusations out with nothing backing them up. And really, Europe is not a single entity that you can measure against the U.S. Are the laws the same in Norway as they are in France?
And as for the justice systems, I believe a court in England recently granted a divorce to couple because the woman wasnt a virgin. America does not hold the monopoly on religious idiocy.
(Not that all religious people are idiots.)

I would also like to point out that this 'argument' started out as a lighthearted poke at football, and then escalated into a political argument, which was not its intention.
Which makes me think that

There is a reason people over there actually believe creationism is plausible
You saying that makes you seem ignorant, and there was absolutely no reason for it. Why did you need to so arrogantly criticize a religion in a completely unrelated discussion? What makes what you believe so superior to what I believe?

Because they believe it counts as science?
But, seriously enough of this crap.

I thought everyone was getting the joke, like with the John Mayer incident, but we obviously have to be a bit more careful about these subtle jokes, people get wound up quite easily about these touchy subjects.
Anyway, nice weather around here, 10 degrees C and rain all day long. It's like I live in friggin' London...but on the plus side, it's perfect weather for the blues :)
