For Irish Whiskey, I can't recommend Jameson's enough. And Glenlivet 15 yo is some of the smoothest single malt Scotch I've ever had. I've got just a little bit left and I'm saving it for a special occasion. Oh, and it should be drunk straight, no ice. Ice kills the taste of a good malt.
I was referring to blended scotches, btw.
I've not had a single on the rocks.

Yes. Cuervo should only be used for margaritas, not for straight drinking. There are so much better tequilas out there like El Tesoro de Don Felipe or Don Julio.

Holy crap I just came back from my first gig ever. I'm a very humble guy, but this time we damn rocked the place ! We played at a festival, for like 100 - 200 people I think. We played like 8 songs, and then a very known local punk band played.
Lots of people told us that we were awesome, and one guy told me that although my tone was awful (low volume), I was amazing !
Also the known band told us that we were great.
I screwed up a bit, but for the first gig, it was damn great. I'm going to try to find some pics and videos in the following days.

Languages are pretty cool, I used to have quite the ear for languages, but my brain seems to have filled up T_T
I have Spanish in school, but it just won't sit. I guess I should start actually working the class, might learn something. ;)
But, when you're actually fluent in that language, it's just not the same anymore. It just feels natural, and not like a different one.
By the way guys, do you know that Gary Moore got his legendary Les Paul at the price of an SG? Peter Greeen told Gary to sell his guitar, and gave him his Les Paul for the price of the SG . The man was worth it IMO, but still, LUCKY BASTARD!

Wtf are big boy strings?????
strings that everyone always pressure me into using, 11's
I liked my 9's but I figured it'd shut a few of my friends up if I at least tried it

Oh ok. I guess I've been a "big boy" for a long time. Most peeps don't like the heavy gauges.
I like to play 9s on the E B and G and 11s on the D A E but I keep breaking the E and B so I just put the 11s on.
I gotta go. It's a long ride home. I won't be back on til Monday. Ya'll have a great weekend. :wavey:

actually that is the same type of strings I use normally, ernie ball hybrids, 9's on the E B G and 10's on the E A D

I R jealous.
You like? :)
I use 11's on the harmony and Ibanez, and 12's on the strat :o. Sometimes 13's. Or flatwounds. Depends on how I feel.
I also tune low, sometimes, though.

I have small hands, I've always found it hard to use anything over a 9, except when I play slide, I use 12's o my Teisco
Oh man do I miss being drunk, I haven't drank in a while, I've forgotten how awesome being tanked is...

I use 9's. I always have. I too have small hands. I've used 10's before but always found 9's more comfortable for me. 10's are on my pink acoustic though!
I'm not mad on Gin but Sloe Gin is a winner

I use 9s on my Strat & Tele, 10s on my LP, SG & Dot - those combinations just seem right for me.

Ah, forgot you guys were so far behind/that you live that far west. We're like GMT+1, and 6 Hours ahead of the American east cost.

For a Joe B fan, that's quite dissapointing ;)

And, I believe strings feel a little lighter on Les Paul like guitar, than they do on a strat like guitar.

I'm 5"9, apparently. I have small-ish hands. I use 10's on my electric and 11s on my acoustic. I went from 13s to 11s coz I was shredding my fingers up because I was playing acoustic so much. I like 11's on my acoustic, but they sound kind of dead right now.
Goolz, that recording was good. :) The playing and the sound quality. Not sure who it reminded me off though?

Just uploaded a couple of tracks to my profile, from my bands demo. Recorded 5 tracks in a weekend at a local studio. We're all pretty happy with it (The sound quality and TOANZ are diminished in the mp3form you have to upload here, ofc).
Sweet Home Chicago, I do most of the guitar work, except for a lot of the fills, the very last solo and some rythm guitar on solos. First guitar solo is me, in other words.
Troubled Wife = Original, I do all the Guitar work.
Some feedback would be very nice, on guitars band stuff, song writing, anything at all.
And, keep in mind it was all recorded live, without a click track. So we might not be 100% tight.

Dude, if all the recordings in the world were done live, I would be a happy man. Especially Jazz and Blues. Those are two genres that sound the best live, IMO. No bull****, just ****ing play. I love it.

well, the story was exactly the same as the novel
I found it really enjoyable, some may not
I watched it with 5 or 6 of my friends and the only one who didn't really like it is a fan of chick flicks, so his judgment is automatically stricken from the record :haha

You should actually practice your singing, it's getting much better. You seem to stop dead at the end of the line though, rather than trying to hold a note. Does that make sense?

Spotify.
Great program with pretty much any music you want.
It's like itunes, but free.
Amazing, a HUGE library of tunes streamed right to your pc.
I haven't really encountered there being any artists that they don't have.
(Except for AC/DC, Zeppelin and The Beatles. For Copyright Reasons)

He runs a few different things in stereo.
His live tone when I saw them was a Tweed Bassman and a JMP. I've seen vids of 2 Tweed Bassmen, an Ampeg B12 and a Bassman, a Supro and an Ampeg, a Hiwatt DR103 and something else, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
Right now I'm running a stereo rig: Guitar>Digitech Screamin Blues [split] Big Muff to Blues Custom 30, Belcat R-Fuzz to Crate V33H>Palomino 2x12.
