it also means no pirating lots of new music to expand my horizons, no uploading my own tunes, no youtube,

still not quick enough to do anything useful though

:haha I agree with some of the statements about him drawing people into blues that wouldn't otherwise listen to it though, and that he's made his own kinda style. I appreciate that, but all the arguing about how good he and other people are, is completely subjective - and therefore pointless.

I"m just buzzing around ebay atm looking around, and I'm quite excited now, I'll finally be able to afford some of the things I"ve been wanting

I don't mind the carbon copy, I tried one recently, but the hardwire is just a more versatile pedal, the hardwire has decent analog emulation, as well as squeaky clean digital stuff and a loop function, it's built like a tank and I've heard nothing but very psitive reviews, though the same goes for the carbon copy I suppose,
when I get ma moneys I'll go back and check them out side by side
and I would like a few different fuzzes as well, there are some absolutely sexy fuzz pedals out there, that and my American Big Muff is just a crazy pedal, I'd like to have a look for something a little more fuzz-facey, like, a little more like a cross between a tubescreamer and a fuzz than the balls-to-walls tone of the ehx
and you know I never did ask how that fuzz you got a while back turned out?
how is it?
and I don't need a trem pedal, hehe :p:
no actually the onboard trem on the delta blues is pretty ****ty
oh and I've been thinking about it, and I've been looking at epi Sg's like you said a few days ago, they are very reasonable price, for the price of a cheap g-400 on ebay I could also afford to put some good pups in it, and I'd have a solild guitar to work with, something I've been itching for for quite some time
Sorry I was gone all weekend.I used to know him. I haven't seen him in over 30 years. We hung out in the same crowd. Was a nice guy. Probably still is.

And I just don't like the way they look. If they were the standard open book style, it'd be fine, and the epi headstocks look fine on epi original's like the Sheraton and the Emperor, but on the LP's and the SG's, they look retarded. I think I'll get a Firebird Studio, though, and spruce it up.

We would cross a street and wait for him to do the same and then wave at him and cross again. Duck around corners and wait for him to come running up to where we were standing and have a laugh at him. Lasted about a half hour before a car full of very large guys with AK47s showed up and threw us out.

Not bad disco :p: More rave influenced. It more dance/pop music. Theres lots of very good Pop music, popular in England (or perhaps more specifically London) right now. It's cool, and we wanna make people dance. It's all a bit tongue in cheek :)
And I always look good. ;)

Making folks dance gets the band asked back again. That's not a bad thing. There's a lot of people that never learn that. In the name of artistic integrity they refuse to play what the people want to hear. I'm glad you guys learned to adapt.

Making folks dance mean everyone has a good time, which is obviously, what we want. I've been listening to a ton of shoegaze right now...It's such a contrast with all the perfect sounding pop music :haha

As you wish. It played so sweet I couldn't pass it up. It fits with the half stack in the picture too. The head on the half stack is my first amp from the late 60's. I was a dumb a$$ and sold the cab and the strat that I had back then. Look at what '67 starts sell for and you will know why I kick my self in the a$$. The jagmaster has a wonderful bright surf tone on the neck and a growling bluesy rock on the bridge. This could become a favorite real fast.

Hey Goolz :)
I left my band last night. For musical reasons and friendships:sad:. Starting up another band with the drummer and another friend who plays good guitar. :)
I was gutted when I mentioned to the guitarist in my now ex-band, that I was thinking about leaving. This guy is one of my best mates and just said, "OK kl". At that point, the doubts I had were confirmed, and I decided I'd had enough of it. :o

The horrible part was when I was told by the other guitarist that me leaving the band would make it easier for them. Not to sound big headed, but I thought I held the band up.
The Drummer assumed it was the end of the band, and before me mentioning starting another one he told me if he was ever going to start another band or join one he would want me to join as a singer. This was heart warming to hear. Also, the bassist, my best friend, said "I'd like to think we could carry this on without you, and just find someone else, but deep down I know it's impossible."
I'm looking forward to this new venture, the other guitarist is a tone freak, like myself even if I don't voice it that much in here anymore. We're probably gonna share bass duties. He's on these boards as well. :) We're big into feedback, fuzz, echo and reverb, oscillations and also the blues. :) Should be a fun mix.
JilaX^

Thank god he's better at harp than guitar, eyh? ;)
But, nah. He sounds good on gitfiddle aswell.
Hah, well. Some people just don't see how important other members in the band are, and think they are the center. (Not thinking of you, the other guy.) Just the way it is. He'll realize what made the band, in time.

Well, that's the sort of things that happen in bands. You're pretty tightly knit, and you work closely together, and everyone has a different view of what's going on. Makes for rough breaks.

I'm here every day 'lurking' and I've not spotted Urik about for a fair while (and everyone else!), so I presumed we were all waiting for him to get back? I don't mind picking up the duels where it was left, but I won't be using the losers from the first round. If you guys don't mind that then feel free to revive the thread and I'll get it kick-started straight into the next round before it's forgotton...

I know, he's ridiculous. The thing he said about dynamics just proves your point further.
And, I know your opinion, and he's just forwarding stereotypes you don't follow. The thing about an Old Black Man, is the funniest of all. Because, all the black blues greats, where usually young. Little Walter, was 18 or so on his first recordings...

To me, what is the blues and what isn't. Isn't defined by something like that.
It's just. All blue music is the blues. The genre blocks are slowly disappearing. Rock & Roll, R&B, Soul, (Some) Country. It can all be the blues, it just depends on who's behind the instruments.
