Hello,
Sorry if this question has been asked..I think it has, but I am not absolutely sure...I have been out of the music playing for some years and wanted to get back in...I use to get tabs from another site, but they say the MPA, or was it MLA said them to cease and desist

I downloaded a few tabs from here and was going to buy the ...GP5 software, but I am still unsure if its legal - some older threads here say that UG pays rolayties, but still not sure...I guess my issue is...If I has a musician transcribe a piece of music and give it here to the community, why is that ilega? Also, when I looked at the downloads sections, there are tabs from that other site that said they couldn't allow downloads, but I see them here.....so , I am just confused..

Thanks for any help..

P.S. sorry about the spelling, very late

According to Wiki', UG pays royalties to show tabs and all that, it's legal. Don't worry.

Does it happen to stand for Mad Porno Action?
If it does, change it man. Zacky Vengeance's old band was called MPA.
You can't go around stealing band names.

If it dosen't, well. Don't bother; Ignore everything I just said.

Ug was sued long ago by the Music Producers Asociation. Asking them to stop spreading tabs. But since UG is in Russia, russian laws didnt affect Ug. So the MPA couldnt do anything about the tabs here so they desisted

Yeah UG is a Russian site and pays royalties through ROMS. There's an article here: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/ultimate-guitarcom_the_last_stand.html
