HEY IM IN THE PROCESS OF RESTRINGING MY GUITAR, BUT IT WILL NOT STAY IN TUNE AND IT LOOKS AS IF THE BACK OF THE BRIDGE HAD RISEN. NOW IT LOOKS LIKE A FLYING BRIDGE, WHICH IT WAS NOT BEFORE.?????C:\Users\Joey\Pictures\IMG000072.jpg

ah, the ole flying bridge. I used to own one and the easiest thing to do before you go insane is to take it to a music shop and have them string it for you. Or you'll spend hours tuning and eventually settle for mediocrity.

I hate tremolo's! i would rather play guitar than deal with that ****. i only have one guitar that has a trem, but i blocked it. So it is essentially a fixed bridge guitar. Floyds suck for changing string gauges and dropped tuning on the fly, they are more trouble than they are even worth.

There's a special procedure for tuning up new strings on a Floyd Rose bridge:
http://www.ibanezrules.com/tech.htm#Tuning

If you're still having problems, you may need to set up your guitar -- there are ibanez-specific instructions on that same site, or you can take your axe to a shop you trust.

Specifically, if you follow the tuning procedure I just gave you and still have the same problem, you need to screw in the claw (in the back of the guitar) or add a spring -- either of these options will increase the amount that your springs are pulling against the strings.
