What are the best pedals to get synyster gates sound??

Well, they both sound sh*t, so yeah you would.

Honestly, I like a7x, but the number of n00bs coming in and asking if they can re-create Synyster's tone gets irritating.

If you really want to, you're gonna need a Bogner Uberschall (I'm assuming you're currently on a crap SS practice amp), a Frantone Sweet (I know he uses one) and a sh*tload of other expensive pedals which I can't remember of the top of my head.

BOSS ML2 Metal Core.

Seriously, if you're on a low budget, that is definitely the way to go. The Metal Zone is crap, don't even consider it. I played an ML2 through a small tube amp at my local music store about a month ago, and after about 5 minutes of fiddling I got a tone very close to Syn's. Not perfect, but as close to perfect as you're going to get without a Bogner Uberschall, his signature guitar (which I have) and a bunch of other really expensive equipment.

If you want to imitate someone's tone, then you are going to need their amp, their guitar, their set up.

Yeah, because my opinion on music and guitar tone is influenced by the score of one football match.

And Manly kicked ass in that game because Melbourne taught them how to play real football when they nailed them the year before in the grand final. :P

I think achieving Syn's tone is a matter of alot of things...Firstly, it helps to be trying to copy his solos, because alot of them are alternate picked with arpeggios thrown in and the odd chromatic run.

Secondly, it does help alot to have Invader pickups, but you can attempt to duplicate this by turning up the low-mids and rolling off the treble (quite alot).

I don't know much about stompboxes, but any hi-gain nu-metal kind of sound would be a good place to start, but don't scoop the mids out of the tone.

Also, use a 2mm gator grip pick, that'll help.

IF only we could all have Bogner Uberschalls hehe or better yet Caveman amps!
