Ok, so here i was planning on getting myself either a Engl Fireball, or a Engl Powerball, so i went to the store to find out the price difference between buying a Mesa Boogie and a Engl is alot lower that what i thought, considering if i buy a Engl its gotta be shipped from Alta, wich is really far from where i am currently staying.
So here is the deal,

Mesa Boogie Dual rectifyer wirh a mesa 12.4 cab = about 30.000 Kronor (1 dolla= about 7 kronor)

Engl Powerball, with a Engl 12.4 cab = about 27.000 kronor.

I play pretty heavy metal Opeth/Pantera/Meshugga / COB, and need a little variation. Wich of these two amps do you reccomend? I really like the shound in both. But i need 1 that has a ****loads of power, versatility, good clean and that is reliabole and sturdy.

Thanks for the help!

i would say the engl, its a bit more versatile but i would also reccommend you spend a bit more money on the engl cab loaded with v30s. its called the pro i think. or maybe just try out a few cabs loaded with v30's and see if they do the trick, the engl cabs are quality though.

So the Engl halfstack would cost you 4000$ and the mesa 4300$?

wow, what coutry do you live in? (*edit* looks like sweden is expensive eh?)
The Engl Powerball half stack (head + Engl 412 cab) is 2145 (= $2800) new at http://www.musicstore.de (they ship for free I think)
The Mesa is hugely overpriced in Europe. You wont find a head new under 2500 where in the USA they go for half that price.
Your best bet is going Engl if you wnt a good high gainer. If I were you, i'd get a used Engl SE and a decent 212 cab with it, for the price of a new powerball half stack. Or go for a e570 or e 580 preamp with a decent poweramp (mesa 2:90 or VHT or Engl e850/100).

It would set you back approximatly 2200 for the poweramp and preamp and 4U rackcase if you go used. And imo its the best amp you'll ever play. New, it is a tiny bit higher than the Mesa of 30.000 Kronor you suggested.

+1 all the way around

Mesa is not worth the money at all outside of the US.

the powerball has a lot more punch than the mesa, it would be better for what you play and cheaper
