when megadeth was inviting bands on gigantour, alexi said that JP's playing was sterile and robotic.

thats why dream theater went that year instead of COB

I doubt there is a guitarist more robotic and boring than Alexi to be honest, not to mention sloppy.

JP would just slay alexi in any situation.
Nowhere near.
Alexi is far more creative then it.

However, this is just a problematic thread *reported*

Righto, Alexi's style is not innovative or creative, just a mish mash and rehash of past ideas done poorly. Not to mention that Alexi is the worst thing to ever happen to metal.

Ok, ill probably get flamed for this, but I like Alexi's playing way more than petrucci's. He just doesn't hold any kind of appeal to me. I've seen CoB live and they have an amazing show-far from sloppy.

I recall reading about this years ago.

Who cares, both bands are heading down the pooper anyway.

Alexi and Petrucci are both very good. However, I have to say Petrucci is a much better player. Alexi is pretty sloppy. I love Children of Bodom though.
