Some of those "supergroups" are formed with ambition by members that happen to be VERY talented.
Unfortunately it doesn't always work out. List them.

I immediately though of Chickenfoot.
I didn't see that band being successful at all, but I didn't expect their album to be so... weird.
Hagar's freeform singing and Satch's robotic playing just doesn't fit. One of the reasons why Eddie Van Halen worked with Hagar was that because he was a sloppy player, and being sloppy can sometimes help than playing on pinpoint time.

Perla Hudson, Slash's wife, said "not my husband's best work" with a very depressed look when asked about velvet revolver.

I think it's the opposite.
I don't like their music, but seeing their live videos, while Herman Ri doesn't deliver, the whole band is very united

I was listening to the bassline of Whole Lotta Love in the middle psychedelic part and was shocked to death by how good he was.

John Paul Jones, Jack Bruce, and John Entwistle are the best IMO

The Sound of Animals Fighting

They aren't bad by any means...they just have like...3 good songs an album, the rest is just sonic nonsense.

Extreme.

God awful band, Nuno is a great guitarist.

In terms of sound, Motley Crue. Amazing sound production, but a 100% **** band.

Alter Bridge, great frontman, horribly bland hard rock.

Extreme.

I think Motley Crue delivers in all cases.

Eric Clapton solo. He's done GREAT stuff like Cream and the Beano album but the adult contemporary radio rock puts me to sleep. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Solo and acoustic Springsteen is one of the best with that band not good

I have to disagree. I loved Cryptomnesia.

But I'm biased because I listen to noise rock already.

I like audioslave.

I love Audioslave!
I used to listen to a lot of RATM when I was younger, but Audioslave is definitely better in my book.
It's funny though, those solo's are way outta place in most Audioslave songs, and that's the only thing I don't like about them. :P
