I'm just curious over everyone's opinion on their favourite Ska singers, why do you like their vocals the most? Have you seen them live? How do they make you feel? and so on.

My personal favourite is Jake from Capdown simply for his energy during live shows, his vocals on Capdown's albums are amazing and i'm impressed by how he plays his saxophone then goes back into singing a verse so well. I live in Australia and was never able to see capdown live but i've seen many videos of Jake's awesomeness.

Johnny Skullfück

There's a name I've not heard for a while.

I think that if he did a Ska album it would be one of the most racist albums of all time.

ALL the songs would be about bananas and mary jane.

My favourite ska singer has to be Pauline Black from the Selecter, i really love her voice.

But, i'd also have to say Chris Cresswell from the Flatliners. Moreso in 'Destroy to Create' than 'The Great Awake,' as their ska influence isn't heard as much in the more recent album.

There's also a really good ska band local to me that my band supported once called 'Blag.' Their vocalist is ace.

He's probably the best too. As a bosstone fan though, I love Dickey Barrett, also the guy in the Mad Caddies (I don't listen to the band enough to remember their names).

Vic is good. The guy who sings for the RX Bandits has a great voice and a very impressive range as well.

Tomas Kalnoky and Jim Conti have some really great harmonies in Streetlight Manifesto.

Also, Ryoji's (Potshot) voice. It gives a fun and energetic feel to the music, but I usually have to look up the lyrics before I know what he's saying lol.

Many people forget about the punk ska band from the UK [Spunge]. These guys are so tight, and i think their vocalist fits the music they write SO MUCH, kind of how Kalnoky's voice sounds perfect for their music.

Alex Copeland - [Spunge]

If you've never heard of these guys then go download the albums : The Album, That Should Cover It, Pedigree Chump, or Room For Abuse. All are awesome, trust me
