I recently got into a conversation with someone about Zakk Wylde and blues. Though zakk wylde uses pentatonics and has somewhat of a blues backround, do you consider Zakk to be a great blues player?

nah, if anything country, but not blues. his slower songs with a bluesy feel are terrible terrible (especially when he starts soloing)
I still dont get why everyone fellates that guy.

no, it annoyed me where in one video he said "i learnt blues so I could get the feeling in my music and then I was able to play fast with feeling". to me thats as if he thinks he is better than any blues gutiarist, but either way his music isn't blues
