I once played with Mike Pope, he was the bass player for Al Di Meola, and Chick Corea's electric band, and he's a bad ass bass player.

I don't know if anyone knows who Walter Liniger is, but he's a bluesman who migrated to the US from Switzerland. He's my professor in this Blues class that I'm taking this semestre.

it's more or less a camp, you sleep at a university/colledge for a week and do clinics, classes ect. i took the blues program.
i meet duke and was like :O
and then he offered to jam with whoever wanted to.

Lucky bastard.
I've never jammed with a blues or jazz guy of his stature but I have jammed with some pretty good musicians.
Doc Watson gave me flatpicking lessons.
I've jammed with Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot. Kid Rock has sang Alice Cooper tunes with me and some of my buddies after work. But mostly he just drank all of our beer.

I dont think you can teach blues in school though. 'Blues is easy to play but hard to feel' As Hendrix said

meh, it was mostly just sharing cool licks, scales, and alot of jamming.
the camp is not really about the classes imo. what hapens when you lock a huge group of musicains in the same building?(after lessons)
