What would your dream show be?
Let's keep it to 6 bands so we don't have lists of like 30 bands.
Mine would probably consist of something like(in no specific order):

Cro-Mags
AFI(Only playing stuff before Decemberunderground)
Black Flag
Let Down
No Warning

Last one is a toss up between Blacklisted, Cold World, New Lows, and Limp Bizkit(yeah I know).

I know thats 7 but I couldn't decide who to cut. Shadow Gallery, and Porcupine Tree, were tough ones to take out and I'm still not sure about it. Oh god and Tool. they might be in there. I'm confused now. I could make a top 10 way easier.

by new album do you mean the one that just came out 2 days ago, or the one with misery business on it?

to be honest i've enjoyed everything they've ever released. and i'm also in love with hayley williams, i've always had a thing for redheads

Brand new eyes, heard it like a week ago.....

I mean I like every song apart from Ignorance, i just think of the new album as a different band.........

And I mean half of their fans only like the band because they think hayley's hair is awesome...........(i'm not saying you do, but everyone I know that likes them, likes them for that reason.......)........her hair's not even that good

You people really need to start checking which forum you're in before you post.

jfreyvogel
10-01-2009, 01:07 PM
I know the forum. But there were a bunch of bands mentioned before me that weren't of the genre so I figured it didn't matter.

I mean if you think Paramore is punk or hardcore... well then you never listened to punk or hardcore. Give me some Bad Brains or Stiff Little Fingers

...And, just because you like Hardcore does that mean you only listen to Hardcore?

I like it but the question was what's your dream show?

1.show me one post in this thread where someone said paramore was hardcore/punk.

2.Yes people listed bands that aren't hardcore, but their lists are almost all hardcore with maybe one or two off bands. Whereas your lists consist of all off bands and only one or two core bands, and i wouldn't call a single one of them hardcore at all. BTBAM is metalcore kid. Your the one saying you bad brains, yet your lists consist of BTBAM and a bunch of nu-metal bands.

jfreyvogel
10-01-2009, 01:42 PM
I know the genres. I picked those bands because I think they are better than the core bands I like. Also none of those were Nu Metal.

saxaxe
10-01-2009, 01:44 PM
Yea, none of em are nu-metal, and yea they'd both be great shows, BUT this thread is in the hardcore forum, so it's assumed that it's talking about your dream hardcore or metalcore show.

-Fall of troy (back in 05' when thomas was more into metal and melting our faces with his playing, all of doppleganger and the ghost ships.)
-Protest when they used to have crazy stage presence
- Between the buried and me playing the best songs from alaska, colours, and ending with an encore of the entire album of the great misdirect.

For just hardcore bands, I'd say:

Black Flag
Converge
Modern Life is War
Botch
Integrity
The Dillinger Escape Plan

Only 3/7 are still together, so it's not going to happen :(. Black Flag was the first real hardcore band I listened to and they're probably my favorite older band.

Mine would be a fest too. It would be 5 days.

Black Flag, Gorilla Biscuits, American Nightmare, and Modern Life is War would be the only bands and they'd play 3 sets each day.

On the fifth day we would gather all 7 dragonballs and bring back the deceased members of the Ramones. They would then play a 24 hour set.

Every fest participant is required to stage dive at least 5 times per song.

Free pizza and iced tea.

This would probably have to span a few days because I'd want entire discographies performed but in no particular order:
Unbroken
Trial
Cursed
His Hero Is Gone
Gorilla Biscuits
7 Seconds
Judge
Shook Ones
Lifetime
Integrity

Minor Threat would have to headline
and Mental would open
then Ghostlimb and Dangers would play an after-show.
