I have always really liked melodic -core songs. my favorite epic sounding song would have to be redemption by august burns red. What is your favorite epic-sounding song in the -core genre?

But on the real, while not being a "core" band, or even really a metal band, Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria is easily the most epic song in existance.

I don't care what your definition of "epic" is, but this song fits it.

Poison The Well- Karsey Street is pretty damn epic as well. Such an insanely awesome opener for their live set.
Also, not sure if it counts as -core, but pretty much anything by Moss Icon, particularly I'm Back, Sleeping or Fucking or Something and Mirror.

The Dillinger Escape Plan's "Panasonic Youth" and "Sunshine the Werewolf" and Converge's "Vengeance" and "Lonewolves", while far from having the typical "epic song" length have some crazy powerful sections. I don't think anyone who has listened to those songs would disagree with me on that.

As for songs that fit the more standard definition of epic, I'd say BTBAM's "Selkies...", "Sun of Nothing", and "White Walls" do it for me. Can't think of many other sons.

Dunno if it fits the description, but when I think of 'epic' songs, Implements Of Destruction by Chimaira is the first thing that comes to mind. its an instrumental, and its way too long, but its still pretty kickass.

Song is the opposite of epic. It suffers from the musical equivalent of pre-mature ejaculation- The song cuts off like, in the middle of the final breakdown. Terrible song.

Meh, it gets old after awhile (probably because I used to listen to it on a daily basis), but it's hella fun to play. Especially the intro

I'd have to say Laissez Vivre Les Squelettes by Daitro and Non Objective Portrait of Karma by Circle Takes the Square. Also pretty much all of BTBAM's and The Human Abstract's stuff.
