Hey Thar!

I play lead in my band Am I Alive and I play with

Marshall Jcm 2000 Triple super lead
LTD Ec Eclipse 1000
Emg 81/85 pickups
Ampeg cab (your thinking wtf bass company for a cab? it gets the job done.)

I'm looking for a tone thats similar too

Currently my sounds way to thin
gain 7
mids 5
bass 4
Treble 6

I've tried a dozen combination's with both rhythm and lead channels and I'm lacking that hardcore tone.

I researched The devil wears pradas tone and they use a boss ds1 pedal along with a ts-9 tube screamer i'm thinking to myself we use clean in some of our songs so it would be a pain in my ass to switch both the ds1 and ts9 off @ the same time. unless it's bypassed by the foot switch when i go to my clean channel.

can someone clarify that or recommend pedals to achieve that kind of tone listed above?

You could turn up your mids and bass a bit and turn your treble down some. I play a JCM 800 with my mids and lows turned up to about 10, my treble around 3 or 4, gain in between 3 and 4 and an eq to further boost my bass and mids and add some gain.

Wow... The title of this thread was super misleading. I expected some At the Drive-In or City of Caterpillar inspired tone suggestions.

If you've got an effects loop you could try running an eq pedal through it. My younger brother has a jcm 900 that sounds really thin and doing that helped make it sound thicker. I actually can't really imagine playing it without the eq pedal anymore.

I'm hoping when my band gets the funds to travel to Florida to go to the same studio as they did. Kingdoms is just pure genius and engineering wise is amazing clean
