I'm attempting to record Machines by Biffy Clyro for my Music Tech project and was wondering if anybody knows all the instruments included in the song, and if possible could link/send in an email, the sheet music or a tab.
A speedy response would be appreciated as I'm only allowed upto friday to get this done
Thanks in advance
Also, I apologise if I have put this in the wrong forum

I can play the guitar, I know what that is, I need to know what the violin thing is (I'm guessing its violin though some people have told me its a cello) in the background, all the little details as I need to have 8 tracks recorded onto, I have done 2 so far for the vocals

chords (all powerchords) E, G, C, D. cant remember the lead bits notes unfortunately, and have no idea about the cello.
if ur tryna take up 8 tracks, i suggest, one for guitar, two for voice like ur planning, one for cello, throw some glockenspiel in there and get creative haha could take one or two mics depending on instrument size. u can get mahoosive ones.
double up the guitars as to give a fuller sound and take up one more track, can be tricky business though.
use a nice light DS guitar with nice tone like a tele or strat for the lead bits too.
thats 8 haha
this was probably unhelpful shit but i tried.
hope u get SOMETHING useful fro mthis post haha.
music technology is heaps of fun man, we do a bit of it on my course, but only for like an hour or so on a thursday morning lol
so good luck with your course work and the rest of your course.
