i'm starting to make instrumental songs i already made 2, but both of them are in the scale of c minor (because i like the sound and it's super easy on drop c) but i'm getting tired of c minor, i can't come up with new riffs or anything, so can anyone tell me of a new scale i could use, something darker, like opeth or kalmah
tnx

thats the 5th fret in drop C.
its placement on the neck allows you do to some cool things with the chords below the root instead o just above it. for example, if youre in F minor, you can use that open C major chord to do some cool stuff in harmonic minor, which is about as dark as it gets, hahah

i'm talking about scales, i use the c minor scale for my songs, that's why i need a darker scale and maybe something eerie

I'd say tune your guitar up to D standard and **** with D minor and G minor, or you could always go the BFMV route and use D minor in Drop C, with that open C as an accent (see 10 Years Today or All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me)

i-vi-...to somewhere... In Am it would be Am-Fm
i-iii-...to somewhere... In Am it would be Am-Cm
build your riff around that progression, And you don't have to stick to the "basic chords", In the i-iii you can use a m/M7 (minor chord with a major 7th) chord for the iii to great effect- In Am it would be Cm/M7.
You should also experiment with semitone intervals ringing out like;
