sorry man but 85% percent of Horror Punk is really bland and unoriginal and they fall into that catagory..... and thats coming from a "fan" of the "genre"

not to mention it cant really be horror punk without a vocalist, hell even lyrics for that matter.

The problem with horror punk bands, is that they all pretty much just use textbook horror sh*t, like Frankenstein and Dracula and Zombies and other crap.

If you come up with your own creatures, straightaway you're a lot more inventive. For example a calculator monster.

And they don't have social commentary like the early misfits stuff does, which is another dimension.

Exactly. So much horror punk is just garbage, even using black humor like Wednesday 13. I swear if I hear of another "great new horror punk band" that is nothing more then regurgitated misfits riffs and lyrics I'm gonna scream! (yes pun intended)

The worst horror band I ever heard was 'Son of Sam'. Yeurgh!

Balzac are quite good, if unoriginal though.

Balzac is pretty good, I enjoy the song 13 ghosts. And the. Original son of Sam was enjoyable, but I'm biased as an AFI fan for forever but too many of the songs sounded the same. (pure evil & evernight) and the new line up is complete shit. I enjoy blitzkid, their kinda split between some of the usual misfits bullshit, and some original stuff.
