They're playing in Cork, Ireland. How awesome do you think it's going to be? :haha :headbang:

It is in my hole my first mosh pit! It's my first punk gig! I nearly broke my rib in a wall of death in August, so I'm experienced enough.

Dropkick Murphys is so far the best mosh pit I've ever been in. I had so much Guinness spilled on me I think I got drunk off the fumes. It's intense, so get ready, but it's not so bad that you should get more health insurance.

It wasn't bad when I saw them. There was alot of big drunk guys just pushing to start fights, though.

Same as any other mosh pit at any other show of that size in any other similar venue.

Ive always had fun at a dropkick show. The mosh pits are similar to most punk shows. You will enjoy it.

The best Pits I've been in so far are Mastodon and Metallica pits. Just wondering if these will be good. Looking forward to it, gonna be a laugh.

DKM never seemed like they'd be much of a mosh band to me.

****ing amazing.

They got all the girls up for Kiss Me I'm Shitfaced, and the fellas in the mosh pits were MASSIVE. We were the youngest people there. Still held our own though. Drenched in sweat, and I can't hear well in my right ear :haha

My friend got the setlist aswell.

Well, their fan base is primarily "Irish" guys who love getting shit-faced, and moshing is a great excuse to act like a violent asshole.

Except this time, we were Irish.

I never got that. The first few times I saw them they got EVERYONE onstage for songs. When they got bigger, they started doing that. WTF

If I ever end up seeing that band again (unlikely) I will make it my goal to be onstage when only the girls are supposed to be to make a point or be obnoxious or something.

Yeah...maybe that's why it doesn't seem like a mosh to me.

Well near the end loads of guys got on stage, one of which stage-dived and hit my friend when he landed :haha

Stage divers are almost always completely obnoxious.... ESPECIALLY when they do it more than twice.

Seriously... Do you really need to crowd surf 5 times during a show? Just stop. Nobody likes you.

For most songs, probably not very rowdy. I could imagine it getting a little hectic for the Oi! songs they play, like Skinhead on the MBTA.

...

On second thought, everyone will be drunk. Bring band-aids.

Yeah...maybe that's why it doesn't seem like a mosh to me.

how does it not seem like a pit...not a mosh. "moshing" is for fags. its kinda obvious thats what it is. like 100 people stampeding in a circle yeah...
and is this thread really necessary dropkick murphys are considered a punk band and punk pretty much started pits in general. so is there gona be a pit. YES! but if you wana be in a sick pit go to a punk show that has slam pits. nothing like full on slamming with some pumped up punks...

There were a few at Flogging Molly each time I've seen them, so I can assume the Murphys will have some.

PS: You should go see Flogging Molly instead.

best pit Ive ever seen was either circle jerks back in 01 in Jacksonville, Fl or maybe Total Chaos in Southgate, Ca in '03. smallest pit award goes to D.I. in '03 in a small bar in Downey, Ca, the pit was like 5 people between pool tables haha, nothing like it showed when they performed for the movie Suburbia. DKM shows always have "tough guys" that think they are bad or something.

I hate them. If I can manage to make enough space to drop them, I usually do.

thats why I pretty much swore off large shows, too many idiots, Id much much rather see a band at an intimate bar setting, biggest venue I care to go to is Key club, Troubador or the HOB size places

Those are Southern California venues (minus HOB cause there is a lot of those) but your location says Georgia.
