I'm a big fan of the cry now...cry later series. Lots of west coast grind/sludge/powerviolence/crust/thrash/etc.

hopelessly devoted to you/you too

Against all authority and some more pop punk/ska-ish bands on there. About 20+songs on each one for 2-3 bucks.

I'm getting the Dangerhouse compilations right now too. I also have these comps called "Hipocondria Mods" that has all the best mod stuff.

Also, this blog posted 3 volumes of compilations they made awhile back. http://teenagelobotomies.blogspot.com/

And that's about all I've got. Keep up the recs!

I'm bumping this so I actually remember to get some of the stuff people posted, and so people can post more stuff if they want!

Also, a few more I've gotten:

Dangerhouse, volumes 1 and 2
Emergency Room compilation (Vancouver garage/noise punk label)
Going Gaga Records sampler (Ottawa powerpop/garage label)
Matado Por La Muerte (Spanish KBD style punk)
Only in Canada, Eh 77-81 Vol. 1 (I don't think there is a volume 2)
Smash the State #1 (More canadian late 70's punk)
Tokyo Rockers (this was a film too, some cool japanese bands)
Welcome to 1984 (Classic international MRR comp)

need more!

I can't help you out, but Emergency Room and Going Gaga both sound really cool. I might try to track those down.

Punk Rock BRD 1-3
Schlachtrufe BRD 1-9? (or more)
Aggropunk Sampler
BRD Punk Terror 1-5?

I wouldnīt get any of those, as I dislike too many of these bands, but as you donīt get the lyrics you wonīt get that lots of it is maybe political but lacklustre

Sampler was alright. Maybe it wasn't my thing. I definitely liked a few of the bands though, so I guess that's the point of the sampler. Find some you really ig. I liked the White Wires song and Sonic Avenue were pretty good too.

Thanks Jordan!

White Wires and Sonic Avenues are probably the highlights for me too. White Wires especially have grown on me over the past little while. They have some really catchy songs! Sedatives are also pretty awesome if you can track down their stuff.

Another thing I've been meaning to look for is the Bloodstains series

http://www.lipstickkillers.com/comphell/bloodstains.html

It came to my attention because they did one for Alberta! The only thing about the Alberta one is it kind of focuses on the hipstery neo-garage stuff, which is undeservedly popular right now while other good stuff is getting ignored. However it still all has varying degrees of punk leanings. I'm not sure yet about the rest of the series. I'm going to look for them!

I can't say I've listened to the whole thing, but I do actively listen to several of the bands on the compilation Paris Calling. I dig Les Shades, The Parisians, and Second Sex.

Lookout records comps are pretty good...just listening to 'You're only as good as the last great thing you did' & I REALLY need to get some stuff by this band: (young) Pioneers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB84ylRtKdc) amazing folk punk...i'm saddened that I have only heard them now via this comp.
