I play lead and rhythm guitar and I sing pretty decent, but i don't think im good enough for my voice alone to get famous, so in the mean time before I find the right singer, I might have to take on the vocal duties, one thing is for sure is that I want to play the lead parts and sing, not just be regulated to the rhythm guitar, so a trio probably is what i want. I plan on playing alternative, metal, and rock, and some blues.

I don't see many guitarist in the like of Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, etc... that plays the guitar solos and sing. People like James Hetfield sings and plays guitar but he plays rhythm.

Alexi Laiho plays OK and sings OK. Put both of the abilities together, and he's pretty talented. Not really your style of music, though.

Matt Bellamy, maybe?

Didn't Stevie Ray Vaughan play lead guitar and sing? (That's all I can think of right now.)

Geoff Tyson from T-Ride sings and plays amazing guitar at the same time. He is not the only front man in the band because all three guys in the band sings together but he can really play and sing at the same time.

People like James Hetfield sings and plays guitar but he plays rhythm.

When Hetfield plays live on songs like For Whom the Bell Tolls and Master of Puppets (the slow solo), he plays lead, and I'm sure he does on others too (I just can't think of any).

I'm not trying to prove you wrong, just giving an example.

assuming you are a guitar player... You should know that question like you know the back of your hands. Or was that a rhetorical question?

Warren Haynes is amazing at singing, and playing lead.

Rhetorical. Not only was Stevie Ray Vaughan's music the first rock music I've probably ever heard, I can actually say that I heard it on a regular basis before I was born, because dad owns several of his albums and they're among his favorite music and apparently I reacted to it from in the womb. Not that I'm a well-practiced guitar player yet, but yeah.

Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains. The thing about AIC is that while they definitely have a defined lead singer (Layne Staley/William DuVall), Jerry provides alot of the backing vocals through the duration of songs and in many cases takes over lead vocals completely. Plus, he balances out the rhythm/lead guitar parts well since he's the only guitarist.
EDIT: looking at your music style, JC would be perfect....Alice in Chains is like an alternative/metal/grunge blend

Chris Cheney from the Living end, when they aren't playing songs like white noise to get some of the mainstream attention, he can actually play some very good guitar and sing, listen to carry me home and you'll see.

I JUST HAVE TO POINT OUT THAT those guys in T-Ride play extremely difficult stuff when they sing. I have to admit that I really can't understand how they could pull their shit of life:D

MKH from Trivium is the lead vocalist and swaps the lead/rhythm guitar roles with Corey

Robb Flynn - again, but he does more rhythm part and often pulls out a killer solo/lead riff

He is clear in what He asks and clear in what He offers. The choice is up to us.Isn't it incredible that NY Escort (http://www.asianescortsny.com) God leaves the choice up to us? Think about it. There are many things in life we can't choose. We can't, for NY Escorts (http://www.asianescortsny.com) example, choose the weather. We can't control the economy. We can't choose whether or not we are NY Asian Escorts (http://www.asianescortsny.com) born with a big nose or blue eyes or a lot hair. We can't even choose how people respond to us. But we NY Asian Escort (http://www.asianescortsny.com) can choose where we spend eternity.
