I just had a half hour conversation with a kid who kept insisting this band are sellouts. Turns out he confused them with The Casualties. Anyways if you already love them, converse, and if you haven't heard of them check them out. Awesome stuff.

wow..saw those comments on the youtube link....someone has a hard time comprehending the idea that two bands can have the same word in their name and not have anything to do with one another.

They're better than what I expected a band with the word Casualties in the name would sound like.

...but they did it first, and better, and furthermore that's just a lame thing to say and I don't think you know what you're talking about.

They were the first band of their kind? Really? Pretty sure Infest was out there before them.

Better? That's seriously debatable. (read: above sentence)

Lame? Probably. I'm known to be quite the lame.

Lame? Probably.

They were one of the very first powerviolence bands yes. They are also cited by numerous bands to be of great influence.

Edit: and since you brought up Infest, they both formed in 86'

Oi, read the edit.

And yeah, that's because I don't listen to a whole lot of PV.

Why listen to grind's retarded cousin when you can listen to actual grind?

EDIT: Almost positive CC was 87, no?

According to their bio they formed in 86, also they're still active, and from the city in which I live now.

Oh, okay. I'd trust the bio. That's why I brought up Infest though.

Isn't this the band with members of His Hero Is Gone? I saw them at MDF last year and they were pretty great.

Nooooooo, that's From Ashes Rise. Capitalist Casualties were the really old dudes playing fast stuff right before them.

I just found out that a girl I tend to end up partying with pretty regularly is the original drummers daughter. Is it weird that, that makes me more attracted to her?
