So yeah, I finally decided to sign up to some guitar related forum. I guess posting an intro would be the right thing to do, so I don't appear as some stranger in the main forums asking and answering questions. :p:

Well, I don't really feel too much like posting a biography here, if you must know me look at my profile, (I spent last night setting it up). So yeah, just wanted to say hi and I hope to meet some good people here :) .

PS: I also have a question about posting on the forums: is swearing permitted on the boards? If so, what's the worst thing you're allowed to say (or is it unrestricted)? Sorry for somewhat stupid question, but I often find it hard to get my point across without excessive vulgar language (sounds stupid, but yeah).

You can post an "official" intro in the New Members FAQ/Intro (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=794605) thread, as well as ask any other questions you have.

As for your question. I'm not sure whether it's technically allowed or not, but people swear all the time and I've never seen anyone be banned or warned for it. The forum does have a censer system in place for certain words, though there are ways around it. If you incorporated swearing and flaming then that would get you in trouble (as would flaming in general) but as far as know, swearing is allowed.

You should read through The Rules (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=794605) to get a better understanding of what you can and can't do.

swearing is fine in reasonable amounts, just use it appropriately - ie. not directed towards other members, or to flame a band, etc.
