Do you want people to pick a random genre and list their 15 favorite bands within said genre, or list their 15 favorite bands regardless of genre? If the latter, why not just ask "What are your 15 favorite bands?"

:five:
ooh, didn't know that :D
now I feel less lame about it.

I also used to think I was lame for only listening to NMH's Avery Island and Aeroplane, then I learned those were their only two albums, apart from one EP.

i dont know, it could be kind of funny. think of all the clever math shit you could say about it.
like; "what were the odds of that?", "what's the probability of this guy really doing that?", "i'd have given 5 to 1 odds for that really happening.", or "seriously? i'm resposible? what's the percentage of people who do this kind of thing? don't act like this is the only case."

i like the term inappropriatly funny.

This is beyond rediculous to you? Man you really can't handle much.. I mean first listening to sweet guitar work and drums made you suicidal, and now less than half a page of replies in one thread makes you think I care.

you keep going back and forth with me. case in point me talking now and going back and forth with you over sillyness. the point of the argument is gone and now it seems more like getting the last word just to get it. so yeah its dumb. when me n you get to something on a different thread i'll entertain it again. so, till then........

besides the suicidal thing is a joke anyway. it would take a lot more than some tunes to get that going. call it my morbid sense of humor if you want. but you'll probably say more like a stupid sense of humor. whatever.

lookpizza

I just call it a bad sense of humor. I go back and forth with people all day, there is nothing ridiculous about it. You're just trying to retain some sort of smugness in your bad music taste (how was BLS bro, real good huh). It's the same conversation it's been since the beginning, you just don't like the turn it has taken.

Wow holy thread resurrection, as I read through these you really can see the whole correlation of like " Hey I'm at this stage of my life so I listen to..." thing.

The whole "of any genre" part is what should make your list a tad more diverse, but then you see people with the same style of band 15 times and you think to yourself " Damn, do kids really listen to dad's record collection that much"

But hey, we like what we like, I digress

Dad-rockers always depress me 'cuz I envision them to be like "i'm 12 years old but listen to REAL music like pink floyd led zeplin the beatles the list could go on. i was born in the wrong generation!" Obviously that's an unfair stereotype but I harbor very treacherous emotions towards dad-rockers. It's one of my many prejudices.
