So I've developed quite a good mix and a good range. But I want to learn how to make this sound.
That gritty tone that he does. I can easily sing all those notes but I can't figure out how to produce that sound. Please help! I've searched online and I can't figure it out. And I don't have any more money to spend on professional lessons.

All I can remember about this guy is that he was accused of scamming his fans by selling them laptops and never delivering. Which is unfortunate for him if he didn't actually do that.
Anyway, to actually answer your question, a nice grit is a tough technique to safely master. One of the toughest IMO. On the bright side, Craig's voice appears to not have that much grit in it, so if you just want that little edge to your voice it's a little easier to achieve.
Watch this video. He tells you to watch the second video instead but don't. The guy is a bit of a douchebag and the second video takes forever to get to the point. Ignore the douchebaginess, he gives a decent analogy that helped me to understand how grit is achieved.
Once you understand how grit feels, and once you learn to control it and add it to any random note in your range, you can move on to trying to emulate Jonny Craig. You'll find it comes to you fairly easily once you understand how it feels to do grit. The challenge is to be able to do it without beating the shit out of your voice. That's where I am at the moment, I can do the grit sounds, just trying to refine it to the point where I can do a full gig's worth of songs without my voice getting too fatigued.
Hope that helps!
