Pixies, Milwaukee, night before Easter. A friend and I got free tickets because they were giving them out at the liquor store where I worked. After we left the concert we hung around Milwaukee until about 12:30 with some friends who live in the city, and as we were driving home we got lost in the ghetto. We saw two bunnies crossing the road, in the middle of the ghetto, on Easter morning. I will never forget that night.

Tool and Wovenhand

St. Charles, MO

June 26, 2010

Got a ride with the guy i went with

Because Tool is one of my favorite bands ever and good tickets weren't insanely expensive, 65$ and going 5 hours early got me at the very front. best show i have ever seen.

Last show I went to was Pygmy Lush and some other obscure bands you guys have never heard of. I didn't pay to get in and spent most of the time outside smoking cigarettes. Pygmy Lush was kinda boring and I left halfway through their last song.

QotSA, warm-up show at O2 Academy Bournemouth June 28th
Moshpit mayhem, all the classics and a still recuperating JH giving some to the heavy handed security. Perfect.

Jerry Lee Lewis at the Rockabilly weekender in Vegas April 24th. He was a little slower than he was 50 years ago, but he still got it done. Decent show.

Maroon 5 at summerfest, aside from all of the screaming teenage girls, they were not bad. Adam Levine is a good singer

I find it alarming that so many people who are supposedly music enthusiasts only go to 1 or 2 shows a year.

Type properly, you look like an idiot. Although if A7X, Three Days Grace and Sevendust is a great show in your mind then it is, of course, entirely possible that you might be an idiot.

My last concert was Jimmy Buffet in KC, Mo. at the Sprint Center. We had amazing seats and the show was awesome. My gf's dad is a HUGE Jimmy fan so we went and tailgated and had a good time at the concert. He was very good live, he introduced the opening band which I have no idea who they are. I thought him introducing them was cool I had never seen a big time performer do that before!

I'm hoping to catch Counting Crows here in a couple months.

I went to my first gig to see Rush on the 25th May at the O2 during their Time Machine Tour, they played brilliantly!
There were so many Fascinating things they did, when they played their classic songs like 'The Spirit of the Radio', 'YYZ', 'La Villa Strangiato' and many more!

At school, I wrote a full report about the gig which was packed full of detail about it, I might be able to get it at the start of next term so I can show you!

Didn't notice this comment...

How does the number of shows you go to per year indicate how much of a music enthusiast you are? I haven't been to a proper show in nearly 3 years...between A) Having time off from work and B) having a babysitter for my son its not overly easy for me to attend shows. That doesn't make me any less of a music enthusiast.

There are a number of things that can keep people from going to shows...kids, money, better things to do....

I'm pretty sure he means people who are in like bands and stuff, and don't have kids.

I actually went to a local (Cape town, South Africa) metal festival on Saturday. Didn't expect much, but was really very pleasantly surprised, it was awesome! Still recovering from that.
