I need help structuring this song a little better. I feel it needs some riffs in some places and others in others. It's also got a few changes and drums have been fixed up here and there from last time i posted it.

If it's good how it is or if you think there's something I can change let me know. I plan on legitimately recording this the same quality if not better than my last song. (

I just finished recording it.

I really enjoyed listening to this man! Some really good riffs and I think the structure is perfectly fine as it is. Would love to hear it recorded. The low tuning sounds pretty bad/annoying on GP, but I'm assuming it'll sound fine when recorded. But yeah, good riffs, really liked the leads, overall a very good song. Good job :)

C4C?: It's a bit different to this, but maybe have a listen?

Well soon I'm transposing it to seven string and I'll have a clip of it when I'm done.

Thanks though.

Hey dude, honestly I thought 99% of that was pretty friggen solid. There's only a few things I wanna ask about the song.

What kind of harmonies are you using at the intro? They sound so cool :P I see quite a bit of harmonies in 5'ths but there's a few I didn't really understand.

During D are you really doing slides for most of those or is that supposed to be hammer-ons? That and some of the tapped notes seem like I'd probably just play them with hammer-ons as well ahahah. Sounds really sick though.

Transition from D to A is smooth I like. Same with A to E, it's pretty good.

The transition from E to D though is the only thing I didn't like. It just switched a bit too suddenly. The triplet fill is probably what did it for me though, it doesn't work with the feeling D has going on so transitioning from that triplet fill wasn't as smooth as I'd like it to be. Try something with sixteenth notes instead and see how it works out, otherwise you might have to take a few bars to transition again.

Now I can just imagine this last riff just bursting into a melodic part by throwing in a really big chord (maybe something a bit jazzy?) and doing a kinda periphery style melodic part with some tapping and whatnot. Try it out? I think it'd fit nicely.

Honestly dude, props for being able to write like this. It's groovy as hell and has some sick harmonies and leads. I'd definitely like to collab with you sometime ahaha

Thanks man, really appreciate what you had to say. I'm working on recording the thing now.

Just for a tone test I did that one spot a little slower.

I don't see anything wrong with the structure, except that maybe at the very end there is something missing. BTW, I think the solo in B doesn't fit really good to the song but that is just my opinion. It had really enjoyable riffs.

may not be your genre but it's interesting

Intro was cool, but it doesnt quite feel like an intro to a song. not sure how youd fix that though.

B- Track 3 Guitar just plays seemingly random note sequences. Try making it into more of a melody/melodic line.

C- good melody/harmonies, however now the rhythm is starting to get a tad boring. Maybe throw in some rhythmic changes or something so its not as repetitive?

E is a nice change in tempo, the song really needed it haha.

I thought D was a good riff, but not as important in the song as the others. Also the guitar "solo" thing you did there was the same both times, I think it should only play once.

Finally, the progression of A E D F sections was kind of convoluted, it was hard to remember what was going on in the song or how it got to that point. Maybe try having more of a linear progression?

This is definitely a groovy song but there was alot of randomness in the arrangement, especially towards the end that, with the sporadic melodies and rhythms made it kind of confusing. If thats what youre going for then its probably done, but if not then maybe try rearranging some of the sections

Thanks man!

Used the midi from guitar pro and linked it with superior drummer 2 and steven slate drums, the bass is a few different bass vstis like trilian and zombass. I played guitar over the whole thing and then well I mixed it and mastered it.

how long have you been mixing and mastering(or producing) for?

About 2-3 years now.
