These guys just released their S/T tape and I can't get over how good it is. One of the best releases I've heard all year. The production is fantastic, and the guitars and drums are ridiculous. If you don't listen to this, you are missing out big time.

Check it out/download it here:

They also did a split earlier this year with Todos Caerán:

(And I realize we have a pop punk/emo forum, but I feel this will get more attention here)

I'm about halfway through the first song, and it's already great. Thanks for sharing :)

11-16-2011, 05:08 PM
This is great stuff.

11-16-2011, 05:15 PM
I've listened to it around 7 times now and still can't get over how good it is :haha
I'm pretty stoked they're local too.

Also, feel free to go to their Facebook and let them know what you think:!/Mahriaband

Yeah, this rules big time

11-16-2011, 05:29 PM
Havent listened to the S/T yet. The split with Todos is great though

I quite like this stuff. What is skram? does it refer to the yippy dog vocals? Idc, it's good.

skramz is a term for screamo

now I feel like an idiot... I take it means true screamo not 'screamo' ( :L

Indeed. Skramz is a term that true fans hesitate to use, unless while talking to people who don't know what true screamo is, to avoid being confused with BMTH and the like.

"Yippy dog vocals"

I always forget how much I like this band. I need to check out their S/T, I hear it's totally different to the Todos split (which I picked up on vinyl last week - mighty handsome record).

11-16-2011, 09:33 PM
I'm pleased this is finally up for download, because it rules.

Ha! Corby would love this.

It was recorded perfectly by the same guy who's done all the Todos stuff.

This is tape is definitely a contender for album of the year. Also, Geoff, if you read this, they're playing the Undermountain tomorrow.!/events/286998681320208/

So I have now listened to this tape, and it is just as great as I expected it to be. Their sound is so familiar, but so unique at the same time.

11-18-2011, 10:44 PM
Whoa, this is some really cool shit.

11-19-2011, 09:11 AM
I can easily get behind this, some very nice parts, didn't remember them from the split being female fronted though.

I got everyone on Sputnik into them and two people wrote positive reviews which we showed the band, hopefully they get some internet publicity from it

New song, drums and shit.

08-09-2012, 03:54 AM

They played a set tonight and the venue livestreams it. They open with Concubine.

08-09-2012, 08:34 PM
That's odd, they said they were never playing it again. But this is great, because I missed all of the shows they played it at.

Durrell is insane at drums.

08-13-2012, 12:14 PM
There needs to be a video of them playing concubine.

08-13-2012, 01:35 PM
 that's what starts out Ian's video.

08-13-2012, 02:27 PM
oh shit, i didn't realize it was recorded- I thought it was just live. Sweet.

08-13-2012, 02:30 PM
Why does no one come to AZ? :(

11-17-2012, 02:02 PM
It still blows my mind that this band is not only from the same area as me, but that I know them.

The S/T is just incredible.

11-17-2012, 02:04 PM
These guys are really, really good.

11-17-2012, 03:17 PM
They just got a new bassist, correct?

11-17-2012, 03:19 PM
They are replacing one of the guitarist after they record a few songs with him, and they got a bassist, yeah.

11-18-2012, 05:38 PM
I've been hearing more and more about these guys (And girl!). Where should I start with them?

11-18-2012, 05:39 PM
s/t fo sho

11-18-2012, 06:43 PM
I like the songs on their split but the recording quality is lacking, so I suggest starting with the S/T as well.

It's Corby's twin sister Stacy. She also plays guitar in Book of Caverns. Out of the two she's definitely the inferior twin. The guy replacing Lealand on guitar is the old guitarist from Watcher. I don't think I've met him yet (perhaps briefly at 2011 Ghost Throats), but it's my understanding that he's a super nice dude. It will be interesting to see where the band goes with the two new members.

Out of the two she's definitely the inferior twin.

:haha: harsh.

11-19-2012, 08:25 AM
I'm surprised this band isn't signed to Deathwish yet.

11-19-2012, 06:35 PM
Lights is an insanely good song. The guitar work is impeccable.

12-10-2012, 06:53 PM
New songs on their Bandcamp, goooooooooooooooooo

12-10-2012, 07:01 PM
So good. Not much else to say.

01-04-2013, 07:30 PM
My friend directed this:

01-04-2013, 07:45 PM
I don't see no bassist?

01-04-2013, 07:47 PM
This was filmed in November or something. Lealand is still in the band in the videotoo.

04-08-2013, 03:35 PM
New songs from a 5-way split:
