Just curious, anyone have some cool ways to make cool sounds or change the sounds on an acoustic guitar without using a software or sound box?

pick scraping, using slides, using the body as a percussion instrument.

pulling the neck back while holding the body can be used as a way to create a vibrato affect. Though if you do it on a cheap gutiar you might snap the neck off.

Harmonics.....

The clinky noise! (picking the strings above the nut)

That's all I got...haha

Play it with your genitals.

take your pick...scrape it up the strings that are wound.

Buy a slide. They are a little piece of metal or glass that goes on your finger.

try picking with something else than a pick , coins , wood ... it will make different sounds

you can also try to put something inside your guitar such as a shirt a something to make the sound more dry.

use sand paper and clear off a small part so when you scratch it with your finger it sounds different than scratching on the other part ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIWSVTaytOw )

or you can make holes in your body ... but that's stupid.

Put sand in your guitar.

I know for a fact it works if you put it in an acoustic bass....haha
