Writing the body and chorus of a song seems to come easy to me.
It's the freaking bridges that always leave me stumped.
In alot of songs, it seems that there is no rhyme or reason as to the logic behind a bridge. There must me some kind of theory to support it.
Would somebody please help me out with this theory problem?
thanx...

The bridge is like an entirely different section of a song. I have trouble writing choruses while I can write bridges and verses.

well, as i thought sayitaintso broke it down pretty well, some people (dmal ... Garret) requested a more "technical" explenation of what a bridge is and how it functions ...... so for all you bookworms .....

theres 2 kinds of bridges ... a primary bridge and a transitional bridge a primary bridge is a section of music that takes place after "X" number of "A" sections and "B" sections ..... its also known as "C" section
its a complete musical idea that is usually very different than both "A" and "b" sections

now ... a transitional bridge ...aka. "B1" section
is a short passge of music placed between the "A" & "B" sections of a simple binary form song
this bridge kinda helps the flow of a song belong and helps make a smoother transition to the "B" section from the "A" section ..... also commonley reffered to as the "pre-chorus"

there ...
theres your technical description

<dmal> a modification of a and b sections?
