Awesome!
Total Guitar had it tabbed as a whole step down - when listening to it, it does sound as if it is in Drop D
I thought: experts who tab out many songs by ear every month probably have a better ear than me. :haha
It's so much fun to play in drop D :headbang:

Most Creed is in drop D. 'Torn' is particularly fun, IMO.
Opeth's 'Demon of the Fall' and 'Blackwater Park' are in drop D.
If you're looking for a challenge, Toccata and Fugue in Dmi.
I'm sure I'll remember others later.

all a7x is in drop d except for radiant eclipse (its in drop c) and 3 to 1 )Eric(Draven can't play any of their songs to find out how energetic and exhilirating they are. I advise you to learn chapter four by a7x (its my first song its really easy and fun to learn and its long so it will keep you practicing, getting you better) but stay away from the solo until you are better (or you might be able to play it now but its fast tempo). Or unholy confession because its easy and theres no crazy solo that stops you from completing the song.

Alter Brdige and System of a Down are great bands to look into, especially system's new cd, but they aren't in Drop D. They're in Drop D half step down (drop D flat). In Drop D, look into Story of the Year, Lost Prophets, Papa Roach, and Hoobastank.

Mad fun to play along to and it is ridiculously easy. Lot of stuff by disturbed is very simple in drop D but pretty wicked.
Or if you want to acoustify, I believe How you remind me by Nickelback is dropped D but I could be wrong as usual.

Why do people not know the tunings of songs? System of a Down is always Drop d down 1 and 1/2 steps never have they ever been in just Drop D. And I'm pretty sure that all metallica songs are in standard tuning.

x2 on A7x.
My personal favorite band. Yup almost all of their songs are in drop d.
I would suggest:
Unholy Confessions
Second Heartbeat
Chapter Four
Bat Country
For the most part their pretty easy to play (Unholy Confessions being the easiest) and sound really awesome. Avenged Sevenfold is a great band. No questions asked.
And also another x2 on some Pantera stuff.
