Just a question. Is the boss me-50 a good pedal effects? I'm saving up to buy one and I was wandering if it's a good deal.
Check it out for me and see. Sorry if I didn't do it right. My first time adding a link.

Yeah, one of the better multi effects board out there

Oh, yeah. Does it have a lot of feedback or can you use the noise suppressor to block it out. Is it great to play metal on it? Do you have any details to tell me. Well thanks for the help. I didn't think I would actually get a reply so fast. I had just put it on there.

Dude I need a clear answer. One says It's one of the best. The other says it's not bad. I'm sort of confused. Good or Bad?

It's OK. If you use the single pedal mode, it works fine. If you use the patch mode, theres a half second cut out while it switches. not good for performances/practices. All the effects are great, you just cant really use patch mode.

Not being stupid, but what's a patch mode? Is that when you have more than one effect on?

ya, you can set it to remember groups of effects. problem is between switching, theres a pause where it cuts you off. just long enough to notice. I suppose if you timed it really good, you could make up for it live.

Oh, well that can suck, but you said the single effect modes are ok, right? You have anymore details to share?

ummm...Use the line out. seriously. the amp output is horrible sounding, and impossible to tweak to my likings at least.

For the delay, it's sampler is only 2 seconds long. Tap function is great though.... All of it is unbelievably versatile. If you want some settings, let me know.

I use it as a few different pedals:

Reverb(If needed)
I have it set to fat on the upper right thingy
then the 3 pedals: distortion/OD, modulation, and delay.

Unless you use compression, thats the most you can sensibly use at once in a live situation.

What do you mean "if want some setting, let you know?"
Well, besides that question, you've been really cool about it.
And I appreciate it. Thanx.

As in I have good patches, good distortion settings, good overdrive settings, good chorus settings, good delay settings, a good accousic-like patch, a good clean chord progression patch, a good distortion patch, a perfect steve vai-for the love of god patch.

PM me if you want em.

The Boss ME-50 is a great pedal if you can get you're settings right. There's no problem with the distortion, but the metal setting is abit poor to my ears. The other effects are fine and it comes with the noise suppressor. But the wah pedal stinks seriously. To be honest, I regret buying the thing. I rather have got seperate stomp boxes.

I think its great besides the wah, thats why i bought a seperate wah, 535Q. The delay time between switching patches does suck, but like josephde said, just time it right when u switch between them.
