It's called "trying to be fair and unbiased". Whoever did that took account of all the most popular kinds of music to please whoever would be most likely to watch it.

11-05-2005, 12:15 PM
That list is crap! There's no Sabbath until #40. And the white stripes beat them!

once again lists suck, this one is quite special because it is not really a rock album list and as this site is a guitar one we have much inquiry.

That list blows!
This list is about the only "greatest album" lists I agree with although I would put Dark Side of The Moon alittle higher.

Exactly. I don't agree with the list, or even the idea of making that kind of list. But you can't have a "correct" list of something that is subjective.

11-05-2005, 10:57 PM
that list sucks. having no stevie ray vaughan on there is a catastrophe and led zeppelin below that many people; i dont think so; of course most people that are 15 don't know about stevie ray vaughan; work on that list

It's got a lot of great albums in there, just in a really messed up order. London calling should at least be in the top ten.

64. RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS - Blood Sugar Sex Magik

Finally a list that at least attempts to encompass a lot of albums from a lot of bands from a lot of genre. I'm so sick of this Classic Rock rules everything crap.

Pretty crummy list. Even though OK Computer made #1.

saars5arania
11-08-2005, 10:37 PM
lists like this are purely subjective, so there's no real point in saying what should be there or not, since it's not your list. okay if you make your own list though.

awesome that Jeff Buckley made it on there. I'd prefer his Grace album to be higher, but it's not my list to make, so whatever.

bored_stupid
11-08-2005, 11:28 PM
That was a terrible list. Many of those albums shouldn't be on there, period.

rpguitardude
11-09-2005, 08:28 AM

You're ALL bashing it yet it's closer than any list I've seen for years, sure BSSM is loads lower than it should be and there's a few shock ommisions, but it's done quite well I feel.

That's because you're ignorant :)

This list is okay, but it says a lot about the taste of the person putting it together - very alt. rock based.

Tommy is 53 and a Duran Duran album is actually listed, didn't they quit against Leonard? So some people like Radiohead, I love Soundgarden but I wouldn't argue that the Superunknown was better than Dark Side. Thriller number four what did Nambla do a bloc vote? Like a Prayer number 8 what didn't want to vote for her twin daughter Brittney Spears? Coldplay what's that there one and only album? Finally no Kind of Blue Miles Davis but thank God the highly talented Palindromic Swedish band is there, now my faith in America is restored. This list answers the quesiton why was George Bush elected president not once but twice?
