Songs that blow you away

View Full Version : Songs that blow you away

What I am trying to say is a song that makes you feel as if you are in the presence with God so to speak. A song that you find just so incredible that you aren't on earth anymore.

Anyways for me personally, it is One by U2.
I love the build up and when he is at the climax
"and can't be holding on to what you got, when all you got is hurt"
and he releases all that build up energy, I feel as if I am somewhere else.
Though the song is a simple progression, I find it to be absolute genious.

that's my opinion, please don't bash. If you don't like what I or anyone else likes then simply state that you don't like it. Please don't bash.

Everything, the lyrics, the melody the chord progressions, EVERYTHING, it's all perfectly in place. It's beautiful. I think in 40 years it'll be looked back on as a bana fide classic." Or he said somethign along those lines, and I agree. Listen to the acoustic version of it.
