[TAB]rock (hopefully) riff

I wrote this riff as an intro on either bass or guitar. What do you think? Any suggestions? It sounds to me like pop-punk or emo, which I'm trying to avoid at all costs.

I think it sounds cooler if you change the 10's to 15s on the a string, and the 9s to 16ths on the d string.
