This is actually only part of the song, but it gives you a decent idea of what it's about. The first half of the verse is all 8th notes. The second half of the verse is strummed to a rhythm similar to the chorus. The last chord of the verse isn't held out so that there's a break between verse and chorus. The chorus is strum to this rhythm: 1 & 2 &a e& 4 &a. Please let me know what you think.

Thank you.

It seems like a lot of the riffs I come up with are based around the concept of having 1 guitar play 2 parts. I'm curious to see what you wrote looks like. Check out this other song I did:

That was mighty beautiful. Only thing I would really add are some killer lyrics. This is really a nice song, make more like this and then play them in a park and just watch all the little hotties run screaming towards you :p:

Yeah, very nice...keep it up!

Definately dude, still working on the lyrics. I'll be sure to take your advice when the song is finished. Thank you kindly.

Very nice. I really like the chords you chose for the verse.
But alas, I suppose I'm not well enough to play the chorus without some practice.

Some lyrics would be wonderful. I'm sure the rest of the song goes well with the greatness of these parts.

And thanks for the crit on my riff.

Here are more parts to the song. This song is hard to descriptively tab out, so I've done my best to make it clear what's going on. I don't have a complete song order or even 'official' names to the parts, but I've named the parts so that I can give you a rough order.

Edit: Well crap. The rhythms did turn out because I can't use spaces to seperate them. Just expand the rhythms with spaces until they fit under notes. I'll try to fix this soon, but it shouldn't be too hard to read for now.

Also, if anyone wants to write lyrics to this and post them, that'd be really interesting.

INTRO

Mess around with these chords. Start with just the chord then start adding in notes in B and E strings.

Rhythm: 1 &a2 &a(3)e& 4e& (With slight variants)

E---------10-----------------------------------------------
B-------8----8---------------------------------------------
G-0--------------------------------------------------------
D-9--------------------------------------------------------
A-7--------------------------------------------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------

E-------3---0----------------------------------------------
B---------3------------------------------------------------
G-0--------------------------------------------------------
D-2--------------------------------------------------------
A-3--------------------------------------------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------

This is the most common one I use.
Each chord spans 2 measures.
The same rhythm applies here. I only took the time to show when the chord changes and where in the rhythm it changes.
E-----0-------------0----------0---------------------------
B-0---8-------------10---------8---------------------------
G-0---0-------------0----------0---------------------------
D-9---9-------------9----------9---------------------------
A-7---7-------------7----------7---------------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------
1 a 1 (3)e&

E-3----------0------0--------------------------------------
B-0----------3------x--------------------------------------
G-0----------0------0--------------------------------------
D-2----------2------2--------------------------------------
A-3----------3------3--------------------------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------
1 (3)e 1

Repeat about 6 times, then:
E-0-00---00~----0~----------------------------------------
B-0-00---00~----0~------0---------------------------------
G-0-00---00~----0~-0----------0---------------------------
D-7-77---77~----7-7----7--------7-------------------------
A-4-44---44~----4~----------------4-----------------------
E---------------------------------------------------------
1 &a(2)e& 1 &a(2)e& (3) & 4 &

PREBRIDGE

E----------------------------------------------------------
B-5~------------555-----5-------5-55-----------------------
G-0~------------000-----0-------0-00-----------------------
D-x-------------xxx-----x-------x-xx-----------------------
A-3~------------333-----3-------3-33-----------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------

E----------------------------------------------------------
B-7~------------777-----7-------7-77-----------------------
G-0~------------000-----0-------0-00-----------------------
D-x-------------777-----7-------7-77-----------------------
A-5~------------555-----5-------5-55-----------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------
1 (4) &a1 (2) & (3) 4 &a

Use the same rhythm here.
E----------------------------------------------------------
B-5~-(555)------555-----5-------5-55-----------------------
G-0~-(000)------000-----0-------0-00-----------------------
D-5~-(555)------555-----5-------5-55-----------------------
A-3~-(333)------333-----3-------3-33-----------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------(Very softly strum chord after striking it).
Start doing this one the 2nd beat using 8th notes.
Do this the two times when chord would be held out for dotted quarter too. Start a crescendo right away.

E----------------------------------------------------------
B-7~-(777)------777-----7-------7-77-----------------------
G-0~-(000)------000-----0-------0-00-----------------------
D-5~-(555)------777-----7-------7-77-----------------------
A-5~-(555)------555-----5-------5-55-----------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------
Continue crescendo, having volume be very loud at end of this part.

BRIDGE

Here's just a small taste of the bridge. I'll post the rest soon.
