Well, he did.
Hes a great singer IMO, but he wasn't Danzig, once they lost Danzig, they wern't the Misfits anymore. They should of changed their name when they got Graves.

Tylerisshot, you sir are an ignoirant bigot and a fucktard.

The original lineup sucks. it doesn't even have Jerry Only in it. Or Franche Coma.

My favourite lineup is:
Danzing / Only / Steele / Googy

I don't like Doyle so much because he made the misfits look more uniform and less like a punk militia.

Glenn Danzig is to Bruce Lee as Michael Graves is to Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story.

"Chud" actually taken from the movie of the same name: C.H.U.D. , and is an acronym (in the movie) for "cannibalistic human underground dwellers". a little slice of cheesy scifi.
as for the lineups, i never cared too much for Danzigs voice, although seeing them live was a totally different experience, as he tended to get more harsh with his vocals as opposed to his seeming obsession with trying to sound like the "punk rock jim morrison" on vinyl.
the version of Attitude of Flipside Vinyl Fanzine was truly great.
still, i think i prefer Graves over Danzig.

.

Dr. Chud, C.H.U.D. standing for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Drummer, has been drumming with Jerry and Doyle since 1993, when he originally joined them as a replacement drummer for Kryst The Conqueror. Dr. Chud, born on 4/4/64 graduated from Lodi High School with Doyle in 1982. He also played in local Lodi bands Sardonica, and Sacred Trash before joining the reformed Misfits with Doyle,Graves, and Jerry.

The Misfits are really good but a lot of their songs are horribly produced and terrible quality.

Even on the budget they had and their DIY ethos they shouldn't have come out that badly. The quality is horrible.

As long as Danzig was in it,i think it had a good line-up.I can stand Graves, but i still think they shouldnt have used the Misfits for a name.Without Danzig, its not really the Misfits.Danzig pretty much WAS the Misfits, without him they wouldnt have stuck out as much as they did.Im not trying to say Jerry and Doyle and everyone else are'nt allowed credit for ebing in the Misfits, but it was danzig's voice and lyrics that made the band so unique when they first came out.

Danzig, Jerry Only, Doyle, and Robo. All lineups afterwards are not truely the Misfits.

When they come around my area,i go.Its not the real Misfits, but still, they play all the old songs and its pretty fun.Plus, its really really rare that a band comes around here,so i usually dont have much better things to do alot of the time.

Yeah, I saw the new lineup with Jerry Only fronting and Dez Cadena guitaring and Robo drumming. They played a ton of the classic Danzig-era songs which were pretty decent. They also broke out and did some Black Flag covers with Dez on vocals which was pretty awesome. Worth seeing in my opinion.

Yup. Static Age is great, even though I don't have all of the songs. As far as the Graves Era, American Psycho is OK, but nothing more than that, and Famous Monsters sucks.

All time favortie would prabobly be the Earth AD era with Danzig, Doyle, Jerry, and Robo. Bit i love any line-up they've had before they broke up in 1983. Except the very very first line-up with Danzig on vocals, Dianna on bass and Manny on drums. Cough/Cool was at most OK, i thought it was alot better when they re-did she with guitar in it.

Exactly. Theyre old **** was'nt christian, I dont even know if Jerry was into being a christian back then. I'm geussing not judging by alot of the **** they did back then.

Anyway, i dont think its right at all. I dont even think he has the right to do it, even though he does. Glenn wrote 99% of the lyrics, and they were not christian. Not by any means, and you all know that. If once they broke up, if Jerry and Doyle wanted to keep the Misfits going and playing the same songs, or even riting new songs, that wouldve been fine. As long as the songs were in the same direction. I dont mean writing and the exact same **** as Glenn did, cause I know jerry wasnt into that ****. But i think it's ****ed up for a band to completely change everything about thier writing, thats not fair to the fans.

And maybe Graves is a Christian. I've just seen 1 interview where he says he doesn't believe in religion and some of his solo songs make it seem as if he's not a Christian.

His songs make it seem as if he's not a christian cause he's in the Misfits.I dont think they(Jerry and Doyle) would even play any christian **** he wrote, they know it wouldnt be fair to the fans.

Thefallofman
07-26-2007, 10:48 PM
By light years: Glenn, Bobby, Joey Image, and Jerry. Doyle couldn't play in the original lineup, and the rest of the band stopped trying to sound like they'd been playing for more than a week after Bobby left.

So which one is the dude with all the tatooos? That ain't Graves. And it ain't Chud.

It's Vampiro. I don't believe he was ever actually in the band. He was just a friend of the band. He's a wrestler.

His songs make it seem as if he's not a christian cause he's in the Misfits.I dont think they(Jerry and Doyle) would even play any christian **** he wrote, they know it wouldnt be fair to the fans.

And I was talking mainly about his post-misfits career. His solo stuff and Gotham Road.
