Well? You heard the title.

It's rare that there are bad songs on good albums in my opinion because I think that in order for an album to be truly good, all the songs have to be awesome. However, there are some exceptions...

Metallica - The Thing That Should Not Be(Master Of Puppets)
Mercyful Fate - At The Sound Of The Demon Bell(Melissa)
Arch Enemy - Behind The Smile(Wages Of Sin)
Judas Priest - A Touch Of Evil(Painkiller)

That's all I can think of right now.

Alice in Chains- Don't Follow from Jar of Flies is horrible in my opinion :p: I know many people will disagree though.

Soundgarden- Fell on Black Days from Superunknown. I can't stand it. People will disagree with me there too.

I agree with the Soundgarden. Fell on Black Days is my least favourite song by Soundgarden.

And, The Thing That Should Not Be owns. IMO.

Well, you fail to understand the concept of opinion, so I won't take yours into consideration.

I'm just going to assume you said that because every other song on Jar of Flies is spectacular.

I don't like Electioneering off OK Computer. Most people name it as their favorite, I think it's the worst on the album....o well.

If the following four songs were exterminated from Metallica's Black album, and replaced with one song even half as good as the other eight, it would be infinitely better:

The struggle Within
Holier Than Thou
Through The Never
Of Wolf and Man

Those songs have some of the dumbest lyrics I've ever heard. Something tells me Bob Rock had a field day influencing these.

I Am thy Labyrinth was terrible, though it was on an EP. The Thing That Should Not Be bored the hell out of me. Efilnikufesin (N.F.L.) really didn't impress me either.

Escape from Ride The Lightning is pretty bad, the chorus just kills the song.

I'd have to say "There's a World" from Neil Young- Harvest. It's probably my favorite album ever, and that song doesn't match up with the rest of the songs. imo.

I'd say Think About You from Appetite for Destruction (GnR') is one of the worst Gnr' songs about.

Sum 41 - Hooch off Does this look Infected.... hahahahahaha...wtf? That's one of the best songs off the album. A decent riff, and beautiful ending, and one of Dave's best solos. Seriously, My Direction and A.N.I.C. are sh*t compared to that.

Drive Thru in Tenacious D...too long.
Team Mate Off of Employment by T'Kaiser Chiefs
Master/Slave (the bonus track on Release, from Ten by Pearl Jam) It wastes two minutes to get too, and isn't really very good.

The guy who said "There's A World" off of Neil Young's "Harvest" is spot-on... it's not a bad song, but it doesn't measure up to the rest of the album. A few more of those that I can think of are:
"Missed Me" on The Dresden Doll's self-titled,
"Passover" from Joy Division's "Closer",
"Biological" off of Air's "Talkie Walkie",
"Hearshot Kid Disaster" from Coheed and Cambria's "The Second Stage Turbine Blade",
"No Other One" on Weezer's "Pinkerton", and
"If You Want" from Depeche Mode's "Some Great Reward"

yawn
01-28-2007, 02:55 PM
^ "No Other One" is a great song; you must be high

If there's one song on that album I don't like as much, it's "Why Bother". I still like it, but not that much...
