Hey guys,

My dad recently bought a new guitar for me from one of his friends who was selling it. It is only six months old - the guy who sold it went out and bought another one coz he scored some extra money. Would any of you have any idea how much it would be worth both new and secondhand - It is in Mint condition. The only problem is I don't know how to put up a picture in the forum - can anyone help???

Here's a description till I get a picture of it up. It is an epiphone "special model"
It has a volume and a tone knob and a Flip style pickup selector. It has 2 humbuckers, (The double ones - are they called humbuckers??) 23 frets, It says Gibson on the headstock on the plastic plate that is screwed into the headstock itself. It is a six string - And the serial number begins with "SJ"

It is the same shape as - or very similar to the guitar found here.

Cheers Mate,

From that link - It is a Les Paul Special II - It is the one with the red around the outside that fades into the orangey wood colour in the centre.

Any ideas of the price?

Cheers Guys,

Thats almost the normal cost of it. To be honest i dont like th Special II. I did before and its a good beginners guitar but know i figured this: horrible ton (plywood), bad sustain (bolt on neck) etc. Sorry if somebody thought i was rude but its the truth.

That's my estimate.

My friend had one, but hit it on the door and the headstock and neck split in two.

yeah your gonna get barely anything for that.
