What is your favorite Jethro Tull album?
Feel free to explain your choice as well.

I cant decide whether i like aqualung, or thick as a brick the best myself.

The one with the song "We Used To Know" on it. Man, I love that song. I think the song "Fat Man" is on there too.

That album is called "Stand Up". And Fat man is on there as well. Stand up is also a great album.

I really enjoyed their live album "Bursting Out". Studio wise, I really enjoyed Aqualung, Passion Play and Benefit.

well, 'aqualung' and 'thick as a brick' are obvious, but my particular choice would be the live collection 'a little light music'. the versions of rocks on the road and a new day yesterday are unbelievably good, and there's this little gem - a christmas song, which is just brilliantly brilliant with the sarcastic lyrics about the christmas hipocrisy. i love it!

AQUALUNG is an awesome album by Jethro Tull. I also own a bootleg Jethro Tull album and it is very good. They were a very good live band in their prime

Aqualung and Thick As A Brick.

I have over 20 albums, but haven't had any interest in listening to them (just the two I've listed above.)

The newly released live album Nothing is easy form the 1970 isle of wight concert is pretty damn good, and Martin's guitar playing on the This Was tunes are way better than what Mick Abrahams used to do. For studio albums i would go with aqualung, as it's really loaded with fantastic songs and quite like DSOTM its kind of one long song instead of just a cannon for singles. Is it just me or is My God a very underrated song?

Benefit. I think it gets overlooked, and a lot of the songs are very good.

My God is very underrated, on the studio version, the flute solo is amazing.

Does anybody have the album"Broadsword and the Beast" I have not listened to it in years but remember it as being very good. Especially the songs Beastie, Fallen on Hard Times and Slow Marching Band.

I have it, but as a huge fan of Jethro Tull, i always saw it as being one of their weaker albums.

It's kind of a cliche, but I love Aqualung. "Cheap Day Return", "Hymn 43", and "Cross Eyed Mary" are all incredible. Stand Up and Warchild are both great too, even though Warchild gets kind of cheesy sounding to me.

Aqualung. I love that riff right after the first guitar solo in My God where the guitarist plays power chords and of course, Whats-His-Name Anderson plays the flute. Beautiful!

EDIT= Thick as A Brick is also incredible.
