Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but I didn't think the question fit any other forum.

I used the search feature on here and didn't really find anything. I also checked google, but all i found are ads for different products.

Does anyone have any experience sound proofing a room, or have any links for DIY sound dampening of rooms? I like to play too loud, and I'm driving my neighborhood nuts, so i was thinking about building a small room in the basement. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

One of the links i found mentions using rockwool as insulation. I cant find it on Homedepots webpage. Is there a generic name for it, its not something im familiar with.
