I am well aware that there is already a bootleg thread in the forum, but it's dying out and I know lots of people around here (including myself) collect bootlegs so I figure I could start another thread to revive interest. In this thread, you can...

1. Ask for info (artwork, setlist, etc.) about any bootlegs.
2. Request a bootleg and see if anybody can post a link/send it to you.
3. Arrange trades with anyone on the forum.
4. Anything else bootleg related that I am forgetting.

I am going to start by asking for a bootleg. Does anyone know where I can find some Rolling Stones DVDs from 1969-1975 specifically? If someone could post a link, that would be great.

Andrew EDIT: Bootlegs are not studio recorded albums! Do not use UG to send albums that you can buy in any old shop.

I had this Led Zeppelin 3-Hour MP3 bootleg titled something along the lines of "Sgt. Page's Badgeholder Club Band". And then my MP3 player went dead and I lost it. If anybody has a link to it, would you share it please?

And for the Rolling Stones, try Brussel Affair (Live 1973) (http://thepiratebay.org/details.php?id=3354342).

(Its a torrent, if this isnt aloud, Im really sorry, I just dont know if it is or not, and it didnt say it was in the rules on the N00b forum)

Torrents are allowed (at least, I'm pretty sure they are, I hope they are), and thanks for the link. That title sounds really familiar to me, so I'll try to track it down. Also, if anyone had some links to some Who from around the same time as the Stones stuff, that would be awesome.

As long as it's bootleg stuff rather than official releases (or anything else illegal) I don't see the problem with torrents.

If this is consolation, there is a dvd of a '75 performance at the Hammersmith Odeon at The Traders Den. As of now, it has 2 seeders and 4 leachers and is 1.75 GB (not bad for a DVD) so you could get that instead (Plus, Queen in their prime is way better than Queen in the 80's).

I know I'm a registered user there! that's where I got the 1976 Hyde Park, 1978 Toronto, and the 1977 Earl's Court performances.

I got an interesting video performance from between 1978-1979 where Freddie comes out at the end in a glitter-leotard and on the shoulders of a man dressed as superman :D

Hmmmmm. I don't see how they're bootlegs as such, especially the stereo Beatles albums. If they were released on CD (which I'm positive some, if not all have been) then they're unlikely to be rare. The mono ones, technically yes, but it's still the album that's available to buy.

^ Dr. Ebbets and Mirror Spock releases are bootlegs, theyre remasted by them andhave any added things to make them sound better/ fix anything wrong with them, but i still see your point and on the most part agree with it, ill tkae them off of this list.

My bootleg collection has finally started to grow. I've been getting loads of Floyd.

I need more Zeppelin though. I have the first recording of Zeppelin known to man. Its like there 30th concert it's all Yardbirds Tracks, Blues Covers, and some usual Zeppelin Stuff.

1. Train Kept A Rollin
2. I Can't Quit You Baby
3. As Long As I Have You
4. Dazed and Confused
5. White Summer / Black Mountain Side
6. How Many More Times
7. Pat's Delight

I also have a Soundcheck they did in Chicago 1973 if anyone is interested I'll post my full list later once this thread gets active.

^ I was going to get that first Zep show, but I got a 3 pack of '69 shows instead. How's the quality on that '68 show? I also have some soundcheck from Chicago. They play some rock n roll classics along with early versions of "The Rover" and "Night Flight". It's interesting, but it's not my favorite boot. I'm getting a dvd of the first Knebworth show which I am just going to automatically say will kick ass, and I'm going on a scavenger hunt for the '75 Earl's Court dvd (Heavy Metal Kids) that has more then just 1 or 2 seeders.

I just got into collecting bootlegs. Here's my list so far.

Pink Floyd
- Live in the Hollywood Bowl 1972 (Disc 1 is Dark Side live, disc 2 is some of their early jams. Sound quality is pretty good).
- Cruel But Fair 1975 (An early version of Animals, some of Wish You Were Here. Sound quality is good, set list could be better).
- Sapparo, Japan 1972 (Dark Side live. Sound quality is terrible. Vocals aren't very good on most tracks, specifically Time).

The Doors
-Live at the Isle of Whight Festival (Awesome set list, good sound quality. Great boot).

Led Zeppelin
-Live in Texas 1969 (Great quality, kick ass set list. My favorite so far).

It's not much, but like I said, I just started.

EDIT: They're all torrents, btw.

RaD, YGBC, SOYCD, Cigar, SOYCD. Dark Side. Echoes. And about the Sapparo show, the quality isn't terrible. It's not the best, but it's definately listenable.

Yeah it's not really all that bad, I just can't get around the vocals on Time :p: . It's ok though. I like the version of Any Colour You Like on it.
The Cruel But Fair set list is pretty good, I'm just not big on Raving and Drooling for some reason.
I'm downloading a '77 Montreal show as we speak. The set list looks pretty good. Animals, Wish You Were Here, and a couple tracks off of Dark Side. I'm hoping it's the show where Waters spits on the kid in the crowd :p:

EDIT: It is! This is great.

I love that song... But Rick cannot sing it live. It would be better if it was just Dave. Rick kills it. Which is suprising cus he is a fantastic singer usualy.

Anyways, I'm going to be posting my bootleg list soon... Im to lazy at the moment. So if you want to find it out PM me or go on AIM AND CLICK "Get Files' for me. (Stula1031) cus all of my stuff is shared (exept DVD's those are on special requests).

Hey,
I might suggest a place to upload your bootlegs so everyone can download them
goto http://www.megaupload.com, I use it for all my bootlegs its ok, but there are some restrictions like you can only download one file at a time on the site and download upto 500 mb a day. Another problem is that it kinda has too many ads.

I am looking for this bootleg:
Led Zeppelin - Toronto 1971, If anyone has it PM me.

I have the following boots to share and or trade.
Led Zeppelin:
-Earl's Court, London: May 25th and May 24th 1975
-Houston 1977
-The very last Zeppelin concert Berlin, July 7th 1980
-Fort Worth, Texas, May 19th 1973
-Royal Albert Hall Jan 9th 1970
-Knebworth Aug 4 1979.
It depends if I can get them to upload, or see if they are already uploaded.

For me I think Studio stuff sounds the same most of the time whether is in FLAC ACC WAV or even MP3.

But for live stuff it makes a pretty big difference, Atleast to me.

You have confused lossy and lossless - lossy means compressed sh1t and lossless stands for uncompressed formats.

Now I was to trade with braindamage - i found a good way to do it (but in a veeeeery poor mp3 quality) if you still want it - i remember what you have requested, i can do it. Idont even need anything in return, because I hate mp3s

so if youre on, let me know

igotabcrich32

i didnt get them mixed up, i dont mind Mp3. and since i dont have that hard drive room for the huge Wav, Flac, and SHN files Mp3 is one of my only options.

EDIT: are you talking to me about trading with Braindamage and all of that?

Is that show any good?

Yes, Very good here is the setlist: The only bad thing is the vocals on time but I always hate that song live.

Set list:

Set 1:
Obscured By Clouds/When You're In
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Echoes

Set 2:
Dark Side Of The Moon

Encore:
One Of These Days

I could get you the Wall demos and a Sabbath boot from California '74, but you're going to have to wait at least at week because my parents computer burnt out and I'm not going to be able to do a whole lot on there.

I would love the Wall demos!

i have Utorrent and signed up to the traders den but it all looks so complicated...how do i listen to the things i actually download?

Stula1031

^Well once you download them... You listen to them lol. Unless its in FLAC or SHN or APE format then you have to download a program to conver it to WAV. Thats it. Then you can listen. If you need specific help PM me.

If they're FLAC (which is the only file I download), use Foobar200 to convert them to WAV. Hasn't failed me yet. Although you might want to covert them one at a time if they have a large file size. It sometimes stops converting for me if I do multiple large files at once.

I don't have anything decent (and it's all in MP3), but I'll put what I have up here in case anybody wants anything. PM me for setlists.

The Allman Brothers
Live at Winterland 09-26-1973 (Great sound quality straight from board, 20 months after Duane's death)

The Animals
Animal Legs (Just a title I put together of random studio out-takes.

Dire Straits
Central Park 01-01-1981 (sound quality is good, but the mix isn't good, the instruments are way louder than vocals)

Hot TunaLive at the Fillmore Auditorium 12-30-1988 (acoustic set, sound quality great from board)

Led Zeppelin
Live at Danmarks Radio 1969 (the best quality I've ever heard in a Zep bootleg, as good as a studio recording)
Live at the Fillmore Auditorium 04-27-1969 (sound quality decent, from board but clips out once or twice)

Moby Grape
Fillmore Auditorium 02-26-1967 (sound quality - 7 out of 10)

The Rolling Stones
The Brussel Affair (everyone knows this one, it's the same bootleg every other person has)

The Yardbirds (almost all of their stuff is extremely rare, so not too sure what is and isn't allowed)
Five Live Yardbirds 1964(sound quality ok, was an official release at one point, but isn't available anymore)
Live Yardbirds! featuring Jimmy Page 1971 (a lot of buzzing and clipping, but good musicianship)

Shows that will be available by the 18th

Cream
Oakland Coliseum Arena 10-04-1968

Creedence Clearwater Revival
Fillmore Auditorium 03-14-1969

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Fillmore East 06-06-1970 Electric Set

Jefferson Airplane
Fillmore Auditorium 11-06-1966

Jimi Hendrix Experience
Winterland 10-11-1968

Quicksilver Messenger Service
Fillmore Auditorium 11-05-1966
Winterland 12-31-1967
Fillmore Auditorium 11-07-1968

Muddy Waters Blues Band
Fillmore Auditorium 11-04-1966

Taj Mahal
Fillmore West 01-21-1971

The reason these won't be available until the 18th is because I'm restructuring some things and because I'm lazy.

Wanted
It would be wonderful if anybody had these:

Any Cream would be creamtastic!
Any Doors.
Any Jefferson Airplane.
Any Pink Floyd with Syd Barret(sp?).
Ravi Shankar Performances (preferably from Monterey)
The Rolling Stones - Live'R than You'll Ever Be
Any Who.

If you want something I have it isn't necessary to give me anything in return, but it would be nice. And thanks in advance to anybody who is willing to trade (or give) any recordings of the bands in my wanted list.

check db.etree.org. That place is the database for basically every live show recorded ever. If it exists, you'll find it listed there, as well as the people who have the show. Email them and ask for a trade by mail.

Thank you.

I NEED that show, as well as the Charlotte one (which I heard was AMAZING).
